"I called and scheduled an appointment. He came out & informed us that we have two tanks (we only thought we had one).  He gave us the choice to let him hire someone to dig access to our 2nd tank, or to dig it out ourselves. We chose to dig it out ourselves. He showed us where to dig. We dug it out, and called him to come back. He came right back & pumped out both tanks.

"It turned out that it was a filter that was installed in the unit in the crawl space. The filter was removed since it was not needed because i have the regular filters in the intakes inside the house. I can not remember what the service charge was, but it was reasonable because it was a sunday."

"We recently had Plumbserve, LLC perform some repairs to fix leaking pipes on a shower drain and toilet. They did a great job with the repairs, explaining what caused the leaks, and exactly how their repairs would prevent the problems from recurring. The leaks had caused some standing water in a remote area of our crawl space. Apparently the leaks had been occurring for some time. That part of the house had been renovated before we bought it, and the renovators had not followed code or good practices with their new plumbing. The lead tech showed me exactly why it had failed and explained in detail, to my satisfaction, what the problems were and how he fixed them. I understand that not everyone may be interested in that level of detail, but it gave me confidence in the quality of work that they performed. I definitely recommend them!"

"Our technician, Glen Cosentino was very skilled and professional. The parts that he installed or upgrades from the originals. What I was additionally impressive was his integrity. We had an issue with our kitchen sink where the fixtures were making noises and leaking when operated. Glenn inspected them but I didn't if I did they were Delta faucets that I have lifetime warranties on them. He did not try to sell us new faucets- instead advising us to contact Delta since we are the original owners. I would otherwise have not been aware of that and would have paid him for installing new faucets that day. Glen represented Michael & Sons very well and we will use them again if repairs are needed in the future."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Franklinton, NC

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
