The installers took only half a day to do all the work and cleaned up after themselves. Willie Quinn was totally straightforward and helpful throughout the estimation process. The estimate he gave us was not the lowest or the highest -- it was the best. We were so pleased to be able to do business with Paradigm Windows which is a local Portland Maine company. Willie brought samples of the windows, did a great job of presenting the windows using them. He recommended that we go to Paradigm Windows in Portland ME to speak with their representative and see the operation there, which we did and it was very impressive. Willie has been totally responsive with answers to every question we've asked him. The windows we ordered were installed at least a week ahead of schedule and we are thrilled. with the result. His team of two which is obviously one of a number of teams they have arrived on time at 8:15 this morning. His Dad Dennis, who started the company went over everything the two man crew needed to know. Willie had already told us that his crews have been with him for a lot of years The two guys who did our window work were outstanding -- very easy to have in our house, helpful and just excellent workmen. They did a terrific job with the windows, some of which required a lot of work because our window openings were not totally on square. I would highly recommend Quinn's installations for windows and since they also do siding and roofing I am sure they are as good at that."

He explained everything that he needed to do today and when he began he was very respectful of the people and pets in my house. He was knowledgeable regarding the process and after completing his measurements he explained everything to me in a way that left me with no questions regarding the next process."

"First of all I want to say I called every contractor on angieslist.com that had a decent rating, I just followed down the list one at a time. <br /> The first one was to far away and only wanted to use his plastic bathroom stuff which I was unimpressed with. <br /> The Second one was so arrogant and uncooperative he only wanted to design it his way and any suggestion I had he made me feel as if I was stupid. After to many days of waiting he finally called me with his excessive price higher than all the others this was with his coupon he offered on here. I don't know how he even has a business. <br /> The fourth one wanted to bring in this person and that person to do things he didn't do and his price was very high almost as high as the second one. <br /> I called Sweet Home Remodeling and spoke with Mr. Denton he was my third call. Answered right away, came to visit me the following Saturday and explained everything he could do with his crew. He excepted my few ideas and said he could work with me on what I liked. I signed the contract and he got started when he said he would. Him and his mean were here every day and in three weeks the bathroom was complete minus the vanity's and counter tops which took a additional week. Mr denton and one of his men returned to hook up the sinks that afternoon after they were installed.  <br /> Mr Denton and his crew demolished my old bathroom and closet to the frame. They moved the wall in the bathroom into the huge bedroom, 36 inches to give the bathroom more room. Then used a beam and jacks to level my bedroom and bathroom so there was no more dip in the floor. they installed two layers of plywood on the floor and used a product called Ditra that allowed him to tile on that. The tub was a drop in jet and a sturdy frame was built to secure it and the granite top around it. The shower had a new product called Kirby that was used in it to help water proof the area from cracks, tile went over it as well. The cabinetry work was beautiful and exactly what I envisioned. Glass doors on the shower were installed by Hendrix Glass and what a wonderful job they did.too. <br /> The entire experience was great, my next projects I will use him again. <br />"

"The job went according to plan and looks amazing. I met with LR Higgins Inc. late winter and we discussed the job I needed done. With the pandemic, the windows and doors would take a while to be delivered especially the custom sliding doors for the breezeway. Eric kept me in the loop the entire time. He updated me on a regular basis to let me know when he thought the product would be delivered and a start date. His crew was informative and very clean. All debris was picked up and swept up. I have used LR Higgins in the past and I keep gong back to them. They do a FANTASTIC job!"

"I expected to use GAF shingles and their website included Roof Pros among their list of GAF Master Certified installers. Researching Roof Pros showed that they are accredited by the BBB, have proper licensing and insurance documents, and are members of  a professional organization (National Roofing Contractors Association). An appointment was made and Kevin Law visited to evaluate the job. He was thorough in reviewing the roof structure so as to anticipate potential problems ahead of the actual work. He described how a crew would descend on the house around 7:00 am and would be finished the same day! After taking measurement he estimated  the job's cost. He also invited us to visit a job site that was to begin the following week so as to see how the roofing crew worked. After seeing how smoothly it was going, considering that the price seemed reasonable, and that Roof Pros provides a 10-year warranty, we signed a contract for the job. There was to be no payment until the job was completed, at which point 100% was to be paid. <br /> The work went exactly as expected. The crew arrived at 7:00 am and were done, including a very thorough cleanup, at 2:30. The work flow was extremely smooth and well synchronized. Large sheets were run from the roof to the ground to control the flow of debris so that there was minimal damage to shrubbery. Some rot was found in the small roof above the house's entryway. They went to a local lumber yard, purchased plywood, and sized it to cover the existing wood with the plywood. The only slight downside to the process was my having to lay out lots of plastic sheeting to protect items stored in my attic: there are gaps in the rough boards that make up the roof decking and it was anticipated that bits of the old shingles would find their way down to the attic. <br /> A job very well done and relatively painless since it involved only 1 day of actual work. <br />"

"Select blinds is a wonderful company with many fantastic options for blinds etc.. and they have fantastic customer service. I measured one of the windows incorrectly and they sent me a replacement for free (+$10 shipping)!! Next time I need window coverings, these are the people I'll be calling."

The reputation of Pella has been good consistently from what I hear and that would be the big selling point I would think. The product and the installation were fine, but I am not sure about the rep they sent here. The price was fair. They were good."
