"<p> We are delighted that we chose  H&H Development to install window shades for me.  They were highly professional and responsive, and helped me select window coverings that met our needs, and were competitively priced.  They were very easy to communicate with (by phone or email) and highly responsive in setting appointments at a time convenient for us.  They also helped us get our window treatments quickly as we were moving into a newly renovated  house within a few weeks of when we contacted them.  The installer who came was also professional and friendly.  They were also very responsive when it turned out that a couple of the shades had minor problems.  They immediately replaced them.  We love the window shades and were very happy with the whole experience. <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"After talking with a couple of window replacement companies, we went with West Coast Windows & Doors. Richard Beil, the owner, came to our house and measured all the windows and doors to be replaced. He was detail-oriented and suggested a few improvements over what we were thinking. Richard suggested frosted glass and double-hung windows for the bathrooms, and security bolts for some doors and windows. We went with Anlin windows because they were able to provide a single window to replace the large picture window in our living room. I had tried to research window replacement brands but there's very little reliable information out there. I felt pretty comfortable with both West Coast Windows & Doors and Anlin because they've both been around for three decades. Joey, the crew leader, and Ramuel showed up on the first day. They replaced two sliding-glass doors and several windows. The next day they replaced most of the rest of windows. On the third day, Joey and another fellow showed up to install the remaining windows and do the finish work for the installation. It was a long day but they finished everything. And they all wore masks during this crazy COVID time. The new windows are doing well and have fixed our two major complaints about the old windows. First, they've greatly reduced the amount of noise we hear from outside the house. It's a lot quieter in the house now. Second, they're very energy efficient. Our old windows had a single, thin piece of glass and aluminium frames, so they let in heat in summer and cold in the winter. The new windows are double-paned and have vinyl frames so our house is now cooler in the summer and warmer in winter. Joey noticed a manufacturing defect in one of the windows. Anlin send a guy with a truck who came out and quickly fixed it at no cost to us. Anlin provides a warranty that covers anything that happens to the windows and doors, including accidental glass breakage as long as we own the house. The warranty is transferrable to the next owner. West Coast Windows also provides a warranty for their workmanship. Never having been through this before, I was impressed by how quickly our windows and doors were replaced and with the quality of the new ones. We're very happy with West Coast Windows & Doors and Anlin."

"What a fantastic experience with US Window Renewal. They replaced 15 windows with vinyl Amerimax windows, and 2 windows with Marvin wood windows in my 1915 house.  I got 3 bids for this job and US window Renewal (found through Angie's List) ended up being the lowest by far. They beat one other competitor by ~$1500, significant compared to the total amount!  Mike and his team are fantastic - professional, affordable, and thorough.    Some points: <br /> + During the measure-up and the estimate process, he caught what another competitor missed: that the windows in one bedroom would not meet egress code and would not pass inspection if the new windows were installed at the same size as the original windows. His team reframed them so the center one was wider and the 2 outer ones were narrower, so the center one would meet code. I was worried about changing them since they are front and center on the house, but the windows look great, and like they have always been that way. <br /> + The front door has 2 special side lights with a  lot of detail, so I wanted to keep these as wood windows with divided lites.  When these windows arrived, he noticed that they did not match the dimensioned drawing he had done and had the company re-make the windows. <br /> + For a very reasonable fee they added exterior trim to some windows that were trimless. These windows now match all the others on the house, and they look so much better than they did before! <br /> + Mike is so likable and professional.   Seriously, a good guy. <br />"

"The whole job was Exceptional from Scot Stavert who precisely and accurately measured all the windows and trim to Luis H. and Porfirio A. who meticulously installed everything. All the exterior wood trim was replaced and none of the stucco was disturbed. I've been a Licensed Contractor for 35 years and consequently have worked with or employed many people. I would recommend AVW to anyone without the least hesitation! From start to finish everyone was Professional, courteous and caring. Their attention to detail exceeded my expectations. They truly are the #1 Window Company in my opinion."

"We've used Screenmobile/Tony on multiple occasions to repair and replace several window screens and screen doors on an apartment building in Palo Alto. He is wonderful. His doors are of great quality and his service is fast and professional. He's always busy and he still calls back when called, shows up on time, and does the job for the price quoted. He doesn't sell junk screen doors. His brand is priced well (especially when you consider how great his service is) and the doors are of much better quality than what you'll find on sale at Home Depot. I live by the motto that "you only cry once when you pay for quality", and the Screenmobile doors fit that mantra. If every contractor I used were as great as Tony I'd be a much happier person!"

"I researched replacement windows before hand so as to be as knowledgeable as a consumer can be. Our windows were each 92" x 77" (over sized).  We had numerous replacement window companies out for bids. <b>ALL</b> said the window companies they represented could not build the windows we wanted due to their large size. Then we called CECS.  Lance, the rep they sent out (in the past he owned his own window co), took measurements and made a few phone calls and said it could be done and at a fair price. He was very responsive to answering all our questions with all the right answers. He knows windows. What is really strange about this whole experience is some of the other replacement window companies who offered the <b>same brand and model</b> window as the ones we just had installed, said our windows couldn't be built. Lance knew who to call to get it done. <br> <br>Since the windows were so large, CECS sent out Brandon and Omar, their 2 lead installers, for our job . They had them installed in a few hours and everything went perfectly. They answered all our questions politely and left the job immaculate. Really great Service ! <br> <br>My wife and I love our new windows and what a picturesque view CECS has given us. <br> <br>"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Fremont, CA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
