"I have a fairly large and complicated driveway (roundabout and parking stalls). Advanced gave me a great price and scheduled promptly. The crew came and did the work on the day they were supposed to and the driveway looks great. Had no problem getting them to come back out a week later to touch up the crack fill after it settled in. Would definitely use again and highly recommend."

"From the inital call for an estimate until the project was finished, I never had a bad experience with them. Glen, the owner, came out to do the estimate. He answered all our questions and he asked about what our overall goal/project was. He offered many ideas and tips. When the first crew showed up to excavate, they were VERY courteous and professional and very quick. Another crew came out to frame for the slab and came back the next day to pour. Again, they were quick and more than willing to answer questions. Glen came out for final inspection and to finish the last details. We had the cement colored and it looks great. Thier bid came in lower and the quality was better then the other bids we got. I will use them again for more projects. One thing also that really impressed me is the fact that the employees, the laborer's said how much they enjoy working for Glen and the company.
"

"By forwarding to him a copy of the home inspection report that contained
high quality photos, he was able to determine that the proper remedy
was to remove and replace the wall. I had not really expected that to be
the case, although i knew it was a possibility. I greatly appreciate
the gratis time of Mr. Carlson and I would definitely pay for his
services to inspect any future home i may consider.
"

" This is the second time I've hired Amigos. The first time was to remove an old driveway and install a new one. That was late last year. This time I wanted the driveway sealed and to have a path from the driveway to the house. Both times, Nicolas and his crew demonstrated top-notch craftsmanship and skill. He was dependable and communicated very well to be sure that he did exactly what I wanted. He patiently discussed alternative approaches to the path and did not try to "hustle" me into more than I needed. He also showed up for the job exactly when he told me that he would, which I especially appreciated.
I don't know much about how this kind of work is usually done, but on both of the jobs he did for me I was very much impressed with the attention he paid to the appearance of his work. He very patiently went over and over the surface to ensure flatness and texture, and paid especial attention to an artistic touch around the edges of each session. And he kept up with his final touches well after I told him that I was satisfied with the job.
He also power washed the driveway he put in late last fall and applied sealer. Now, raindrops just make little beads on the surface of the drive.
I would hire Amigos again in a heartbeat for any future work. And I'm confident enough in them to say that I'd do that without bothering to get other bids.
"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house. My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats. They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house. Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough. It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway. It seemed really fast to me. The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano. We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed.
We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors. Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation.
After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house. They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down. A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots. We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement. We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation. While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house. The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision. Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared. Great job guys.
Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements. We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement. We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013. It's been a long process, but well worth it. Made possible by Expert House Movers!
"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Garden-prairie, IL

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
