He came out the same day I contacted him, quickly diagnosed the issue and gave us a very fair estimate. (Much better than a different quote we got) He fixed the leak quickly and we were able to get Peoples Gas to turn the gas back on without any issues. "ll remember him in the future.I haven't been able to use my gas log fireplace in years. It was impossible to light and the pilot would never stay lit. I contacted the Gas Guy. Chris came out, cleaned the pilot, changed the thermocouple, added embers, put a longer stem on the gas knob and I was sitting in front of a beautiful fire that very night. Chris was very polite, thorough and informative. I would recommend him to anyone needing experience concerning natural gas connections and I will remember him in the future. "Work was done very well. Had to cut the pipe coming out of the wall to router out the drain and replaced it with a coupling for easier access in the future. Also went out of the way to address a couple of other issues. Replaced the 3 piece T from the garbage disposal with a one piece style to add strength and remove the sag. Noticed the water pressure at the kitchen faucet was weak, cleaned the screens, and advised that a new faucet was needed to solve the problem. Very professional, handled my obnoxious dog very well, and was thorough in cleaning up when the job was complete."

"It was great!  They did an excellent job.  They were very careful to not destroy the yard except where they had to dig.  They had to bring a back hoe into my back yard and the run to the storm sewer was quite a distance.  It took a while to get scheduled because of weather and emergencies that they had, but I was ok with that since mine was not time critical.  I was very impressed that they layed down  plastic to put the dirt they dug up on so that it didn’t mess up more of the yard.  The guys were very professional and friendly.  I have had this project done 2 other times since I have lived in the house 12 years.  I told them this and they took it to heart and did everything they could  (larger pipe, etc.) to ensure I would never have to have this done again.  I wish I had had these people do the job the first time.  I feel very confident that the job was done right!"

"Initially, I had called another plumber to unclog a kitchen sink (my questions are posted in the plumbing section). This first plumber routed out the sink, but that caused more backup down the line which he then referred me to a specialist that could pressure wash the entire line ($600.00). This may sound like a normal thing to do, however the line is only 15 feet long and is assessable from under the cottage (something my first plumber did not investigate). Cartenzo plumbing came out and replaced the poorly designed system with new pipe along with putting a bathroom sink back together and unclogging a toilet in another unit. We have many small rentals, and a tradesman that is willing to work quickly and efficiently on many small headaches is valuable to us. <br />"

"When the furnace would not start, I called Gilley for warranty replacement of the inducer. <br /> The first visit confirmed my request but I was charged $70 .  I agree that it had to be verified but I didn't expect to be charged for it.  When the part came in the serviceman replaced it and charged me another $87.  There's something wrong with charging for warranty work.  It really should be billed to the manufacturer.  At the very least, I should have been informed of the charges in advance. <br /> <br /> I had the service tech look at the chimney cap (from the ground) while he was there.  He said that someone would call me to check it out.  I was never contacted. <br /> <br /> Earlier this month I contacted Gilley to ask for an additional discount for cleaning furnaces in the 5 homes I own,.  I was told that someone would check and call me back.  No one ever contacted me. <br /> <br /> Last year was my first experience with Gilley when they installed a new furnace in one of my homes and I was very pleased with the whole process.  I know that the owner is cutting back on his involvement and perhaps this explains my dissatisfaction this time. <br /> <br /> Please note that my "C" grade for professionalism is not intended to reflect on the service tech but on the company as a whole."
