"I needed to replace an existing outside gas tankless water heater and had obtained estimates from two plumbers when I happened upon the Home Advisor site. I had never used them, so I submitted my details. Matt from Platinum Plumbing called me less than two minutes after I submitted. He discussed the job with me and recommended the water heater he had installed in his own home. That seemed like a pretty reliable recommendation. He emailed me a written bid within a couple of minutes of our conversation. His was the best price for a high quality water heater. That was on a Friday, he installed it Monday morning. The install took about 1 hour & 45 minutes. I watched him work the entire time. In my opinion, heâ s an honest man and really knows what heâ s doing. Itâ s a great experience to watch an experienced pro in action. The unit needed to have an outdoor plug installed. Mattâ s electrician appeared right on time and quickly accomplished that. "My hot water heater needed to be replaced but I've been blowing it off because I was quoted $3000. One night it finally burst, shooting water all over the garage. I didn't know who to call or what a reasonable price for a new hot water was but I needed a water heater so I submitted a request for an estimate with Home Advisor. Matt from Platinum Plumbers responded almost immediately via text, which I prefer. He quoted me $1700 for a 50 gallon water heater installed, up to code. I texted him 2 photos expecting him to reconsider his incredibly low quote. His next quote was for $1500 because I have a 40 gallon heater. I told him that seemed low compared to the $3000 quote I had received 3 months ago and maybe he would like to look at it in person in case he had made a mistake. Bless his heart! He said he's been doing this for 41 years, he has low overhead and if he finds anything unexpected he said it would be his fault!!! What??? He showed up the next morning, right on time. I expected it to take 2 hours. Honestly, he removed, installed, cleaned up after himself, ran my credit card, patiently waited while I tracked down a credit card that wouldn't be denied, handed me my invoice and was driving away in no more than 45 minutes. "Cheap is not good and Good is not cheap.... With that being said I went with Beutler which was slightly higher than the lowest estimate I got to replace a 29 year old water heater that just started leaking. Randy was fast and courteous to respond and sent out Juan who was very friendly, helpful, hard working, professional and he worked his tail off and got the job done in the time frame he said it would take. All in all I was without hot water for less than 24 hours"
