"Our experience with Guardian has been nothing but exceptional. From the beginning they insured that our home was safe from additional damage by covering exposed areas of the roof until the insurance company could coordinate with Guardian. Guardian was there to coordinate with our insurance company adjuster and make sure all the local code requirements to install the new roof were met. The materials used are top notch, giving us an ice and water shield and a 50 year warranty on the roof, that will long out last us. During the roof install the crew was here early, covered all the bushes and shrubs, worked quickly and efficiently, and were finished by mid-afternoon. They made sure all debris and nails were picked up like they were never here. These guys know what they are doing and are professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone that I know."

"My husband and I recently had all of the windows and doors replaced in our sunroom and we are very happy that we chose this company to do the work. They completely transformed the sunroom. Thank you so much to Scott and his team (Wayne, Dan, Matt, & Mike) who went above and beyond to make sure the work was done correctly. We are extremely pleased with the results. They are very friendly, professional, and meticulous. We look forward to continuing to do business with them when we are ready to remodel our bathroom. I highly recommend this company!"

"Excellent. I got an appointment for an inspection 2 days after I called. Pat came out, checked out the breakfast area then went up on the roof.(2 story room with a very steep roof) He carefully inspected the area where the leak may have occurred. He shared that there had been previous work done on it. After a thorough inspection, he concluded that a minor fix done by a friend probably solved the problem and that I should watch for leaks during the next 2 days when 3" of rain was predicted. I did as he recommended and found no evidence of leaking. He told me to call him to let him know how I fared during the storm-leak or no leak. If there was a leak he would come back immediately and rectify the situation. Apparently the minor fix took care of the problem. Then the Christmas present--No Charge for 2 hours of his labor. Wonderful company to work with!"

"I am writing to share my recent, outstanding experience with Eastern Shore Window & Door. Joseph Del Grosso, the owner, delivered an excellent, pressure-free presentation on the Home Guard Innovations Patio Sliding Glass Doors. True to his word, the final price matched the quote, and Joseph confidently guaranteed top-quality workmanship, materials, and skilled installers. Our three balcony sliding glass doors, which were originally installed in 1984, were replaced with new ones. Installation began on July 27th, 2025, with Joseph’s installers, Shayne and Jerry, arriving on time and clearly explaining the process. During the installation of the first slider, Shayne and Jerry worked efficiently, professionally, and meticulously, treating our property with respect. The project was completed on July 30th, and each day of the renovation was handled with great care and precision. Shayne is one of the best installers we’ve ever worked with, showcasing incredible attention to detail. Jerry, his partner, anticipated Shayne’s needs perfectly, and they worked together seamlessly, complementing each other’s skills. We highly recommend Eastern Shore Window & Door. This fantastic trio—Joseph, Shayne, and Jerry—truly care about their customers and their property. We’re so glad we found them online! The Innovations Balcony Sliding Glass Doors are incredibly well-built, sturdy, secure, and thoughtfully designed. The Temper Skim Coat Glass is great, as it helps to block outsiders from looking in during the daylight while still allowing plenty of sunshine in. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Home Guard's Customer Service representative, Miss Tifani, who was helpful, courtesy, and patient throughout the process. Thank you, Home Guard, for a wonderful product and exceptional customer service."

"Do not buy pella windows or doors. I had $28,000 worth of Pella Designer windows installed 21 years ago. Over time, the seal between the glass panes has failed, allowing moisture to enter and cause the window sash to rot. I contacted Pella, but they state that the 20 year warranty expired last year, and they will not provide any relief or replacement. However, the damage occurred during the warranty period, but was invisible until this summer when a rotted window sash literally fell apart as shown in the picture. Through some internet searching, I found that the Pella Designer series windows has had a long history of this problems, and consequently Pella has discontinued the line. In spite of knowing that these windows were prone to seal failure and the potential damage, Pella did not take any steps to inform me of ways to inspect and perhaps take preventive measures to prevent the damage from occurring. These windows were improperly designed, and the pella falls way short of the image that they present on their website."

"You should probably add 4-6 weeks to the expected delivery date if you expect to need the "enclosed" hardware. I received the blinds in the estimated time, but it came without the required hardware. I have made 4 calls (at least) over several weeks, but the hardware is nowhere in site. It is clear that SelectBlinds.com is a marketing company only has outsourced all production and fulfillment to third parties and evidently has a difficult time coordinating these type of customer service issue. Extremely frustrating that my blinds have been sitting in the floor for over a month and all I need is a few screws. Happy to go to Home Depot to get the screws, but SelectBlinds can't even tell me what sizes I need."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Georgetown, DE

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
