"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

"If you want to hire a company that cares, this is the one. We needed to have a bath converted into a walk-in shower in our guest bathroom because of the accessibility issues. The original design looked great, but it would have taken a couple of months to get all the supplies. John and Travis realized that we had an urgent need and came back with a great design that used great materials and we didn't have to wait for so long. In a couple of weeks, we had a crew headed by Jesse that landed in our bathroom. They were great. Everything was done in a day and a half. The quality is superb! Every time I walk into the bathroom, I enjoy the look of it, plus we are happy with all the benefits of having a walk-in shower. One more thing I want you to know is that I really mean what I am saying in this review. When the owner of the company, not a hired salesman, is directly involved in projects, it makes a big difference. Plus, the price was more reasonable compared to "the big shower remodeling companies""

"I have been using this company for about two year for twice yearly checkups. Angle is good about explaining the system and what he is doing. It was time to replace my awesome American Standard with a Carrier AC & gas furnace. They kept to the quote we both agreed on. Installed in one day; techs were professional ( very open to my questions) and left a very clean area. I would recommend this company if asked and will continue to do twice yearly maintenance"

"Carl's team was phenomenal. They quoted me a fair price, and showed up right on time. They were able to build us a pergola exactly as we discussed on time and on-budget. "Came in as lowest bid and wound up doing fantastic work. Very satisfied with how the project turned out. Working with them regarding billing and what was considered in and out of scope was a nightmare. Despite my best efforts to make sure we were on the same page in regards to what I wanted done and making sure it was on the invoice it did not stop the invoices for extra work coming out saying it was out of scope. I agreed with the first change order regarding a bench but when more change orders and invoices started showing up with no heads up is when I started asking questions. And even when I said that I told them to give me a heads up on out of scope work, I still got new invoices for out of scope work. $1200 for extra hours for sloping the shower pan, $200 for extra trash removal, $600 for extra plumbing work. TLDR: Lowest Bid, Still great work, but expect them to nickel and dime you until it is done."

Contacted him in January said he was starting the drawings, never heard from him again. I figured if they wanted my work they'd contact me. I guess my job was just too small."

"My husband already left a review for our project, but I wanted to add some additional praise. Alter Construction did an absolutely wonderful job replacing our floors and I highly recommend them! Communication: One of the first things you'll notice with Eli and his team is the tremendous amount of communication. He'll talk you through everything, provide recommendations as necessary, and answer any questions. On top of that, Eli sent us multiple updates every day that we were out of the house to keep us aware of what was happening. Pictures, video, text explanations, and he was always available for a call. It really put my mind at ease that the house was well taken care of in our absence. He ran the outside taps when it froze, kept the house at the temperature we requested, and cleaned up everything after. He also made us aware of little things like how the paint color we picked for baseboards didn't match the existing trim. With everything he did, made sure that we would be happy with the finished product. Quality: The workmanship is outstanding. The tile is cut and laid beautifully, with no hollow sounds when walking. My father used to lay tile back in his day, so trust me when I say it was well inspected after! Our walls have rounded corners, so it was very nice of Alter Construction to cut and round the baseboards instead of leaving them sharp. It looks very clean now. Attention to Detail: What really makes the work stand out is the team's attention to detail. They replaced a section of baseboards that wasn't in the work area to make them match because they were visible from the living room. They were kind enough to reinstall our baby gates at a higher position because the new baseboards were taller than the old ones. They even patched a hole in the carpet of one of our bedrooms with the scraps they pulled up from the living room. This wasn't something that we had asked them to do, they just took the initiative to really make everything nice for us when we came home. Summary: If you're looking for someone to do work on your house, you can't go wrong with Alter Construction. They'll take care of you like family and I promise you won't be disappointed."
