"Alex and his team did an amazing job. They installed 3â x12â tile on my shower walls, created a shower niche that met the ceiling seamlessly (31â H to 98â H x 4â w), and installed 24â x48â tile throughout my bathroom, including the showers floor. Many cuts needed to get the shower floor to slope correctly but we found a grout that matched the tile so it still has a seamless look throughout the bathroom. Alex and his team communicated exceptionally well and completed the project quickly and professionally at a reasonable price. Only issue was that some of the large format prices in the shower had damage to the angled edges because of the numerous cuts. This is a very minor flaw that canâ t be noticed when standing and will not be noticed when the shower glass is installed over m. Would recommend Alex and would use him again if we decide to do backsplash."

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Excellent. Hiring Danny was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I had someone else install a 5 foot sliding glass door and it was a nightmare. Danny fixed the door for a good price. I couldn’t be happier with my new door. He also fixed the door on the side of the house and didn’t even tell me. Said it was part of the prepping process. I’m going to put in new kitchen countertops next, and you can believe me, I will be calling Danny."

"Marc and his crew pulled off a huge project under a tight timeline, and with flexibility as things unfolded along the way. We were rookies and overwhelmed and he was patient and always available to talk us through things. His communication skills in keeping me updated and educated are second only to his trustworthiness. I was able to just let him run with the projects, and didn't need to babysit things myself. I could trust him to do what he said he was going to do, to supervise what others were doing, and to see to it that any issues were corrected along the way. I found that the adage "you get what you pay for" is also true in the construction industry. One remaining thing we subbed out ourselves left us wishing we had kept Marc on all the way to the end. His expertise, skill, insight/feedback, and honesty are totally worth it. Your house and your sanity will thank you!! Working with Tils was the easiest part of a very stressful time. Highly recommend."

FAQs for carpentry framing installation projects in Gilbert, AZ

Professional contractors complete basement framing in three to five days, depending on the size and complexity of your space. Projects with simple, open layouts progress faster than those with multiple rooms and corners. DIY framers should expect the job to take significantly longer, potentially seven to 10 days or more, depending on experience level and available time. The timeline doesn't include other aspects of basement finishing like drywall installation, electrical work, or finishing touches, which extend the overall renovation schedule.

Most municipalities require building permits for basement framing projects. These permits cost between $1,200 and $2,000, ensuring your renovation meets local building codes for safety and structural integrity. Working without proper permits can result in penalties, forced removal of completed work, and complications when selling your home. Your local building department can provide specific information about permit requirements, inspection schedules, and any special considerations for basement renovations in your area.

For basement framing, use pressure-treated lumber for bottom plates (the horizontal boards that contact concrete floors) to prevent moisture damage and rot. Standard kiln-dried lumber is suitable for wall studs and top plates that don't directly contact concrete surfaces. The most common lumber dimension for basement wall framing is two-by-four, though some situations may call for two-by-six lumber to accommodate thicker insulation. Always check local building codes, as some jurisdictions have specific requirements for basement framing materials.

You can install drywall after framing is complete and inspected, but several important steps should happen first. Ensure any electrical, plumbing, or HVAC rough-ins are completed and inspected before closing up walls. Installing insulation between studs is highly recommended for temperature control and moisture management. Drywall installation adds an average of $3 to $4 per linear foot to your project, with painting costing an additional $2 to $6 per square foot. Address any moisture concerns before enclosing walls to prevent future damage and mold issues.
