"Jesse replaced my main water shutoff valve with a ball valve and re-did PVC piping out of my main sprinkler back-flow that was leaking due to ground movement. He completed both within an hour and was considerably more affordable than two other contractors. I would definitely hire him again."

"I was looking for a custom job where my backflow prevention valve could be easily and quickly replaced, since I’ve had numerous issues over the last 30 years at my house with the sprinkler system leaking from freezing and general rough winter weather . We set up a date to go over the project, and he came out to my home in Fort Collins right on time. We immediately hit it off. I told him what I wanted, and he very quickly recommended one of his modular custom BPV setups. I loved his idea. He came a week later and did the work in a few hours. His system is so much better than what I was envisioning. He is one of those very talented, humble and kind guys that just gets the job done, quickly with easy communication. I would highly recommend Brett for any of your home’s plumbing issues. "

"Todd was the only technician who pointed out that our pipes are soft soldered. Not one of the three other contractors noticed this and it would have caused huge problems in our finished basement. Thanks to Todd for giving us an option that was workable. <br />"

"Chris and his team did a great job for my wife and I. Very punctual and timely. We needed piping replaced under our crawl space and other areas of the house that were lead and galvinzed steel. We also wanted to convert our house to the on demand "tankless" water heater."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Gilcrest, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
