"We used Lakewoods a few years ago for a minor roof repair due to a leak. They did excellent work at that time. When we got hit by the hail storm, we had non-stop people at our door and on the phone offering to replace the roof. Mostly storm-chasers, I guess. Instead, I remembered the previous good work Lakewoods had done, and asked them to come out for a bid. It was also important to me that they have an actual location rather than working from a truck, and have been in business for years. He spent some time walking around the roof (unlike another person from a company I got from Angie's List who only looked from the ground) and said I needed a roof and he would meet with my insurance adjuster. They came together a few days later, and Lakewoods got the insurance person to agree to everything. When the crew showed up, they seemed to do good work, and certainly cleaned up each evening and at the end of the job. It's been almost a year and the roof is still great. No leaks or any other problems. Lakewoods also pointed out a problem with how my gutters were installed, and fixed that. The guy I dealt with was Shawn Rise, and from start to finish he was always in communication with me, and always timely. He also did most of the communication with the insurance company.
