"Erinn was my initial contact and he gave a very through and fair estimate. We had structural work done to support floor joists and large beams under the garage that needed replacing. Ernesto and his team, Julio, Salvatore and Gilder worked tirelessly to complete the work and were respectful, punctual, informative and good humoured throughout the entire process. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. A really great company!!"

"Wesley was fantastic! We were hoping to be able to extend the gas line from the fireplace to the stove but the piping was too small there to accommodate the stove we purchased. While he said it could be done, and was significantly less expensive, it may not be able to provide the 'power' the stove required. We chose to do it the right way, not the 'cheap' way, pricing was still reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. Highly recommended!!"

"Evil scammers of the elderly ! These people are sick, taking advantage of seniors on a fixed income with a decline in cognitive thinking as well as Diabetic complications ! I am the homeowners caretaker and son, over 2yrs ago these SCAMMERS took $14000 from my dad to fix a clogged toilet ! ! ! I just found this out. They saw an easy target and ripped my dad off. Instead of snaking and pitting a camera down the toilet, they tore up the front yard. THEY DIDNT REPLACE ANYTHING ! They removed 1 of 2 Darin pipes. IDK why. THE IDIOTS also cut the discharge pipe for the pool [Expletive removed] U MORONS ! They then found a WATER LEAK under the driveway. WHY ARE YOU LOOkiNG FOR A WATER LEAK ! We wanted a toilet unclogged. The workers were [Expletive removed] and didn't even check to see if the clogg was fixed. BEWARE THEY SCAM THE ELDERLY ! ! The toilet never worked after all that. The other toilet is upstairs and is hard for my elderly parents to use. These guys are thrives, everyone contact them and ask why they treat our seniors like this. FIX MY [Expletive removed] TOILET !"

"We couldn't be more happy with Darrell and the entire Allison Plumbing crew. Darrell quoted us the best price, service, (plaster patching*) and equipment (USA made hot water heater) of the three companies from which we received quotes. They re-piped our 2100sq ft. house in two days. These people are hardworking, efficient, on time, PROs! *I have to mention the wall patching. Our house is 75 years old. So, our plaster walls are a bit scarred in areas. I couldn't believe that they actually matched the original walls. THAT takes some talent. We will definitely call Allison Plumbing again, if/when we need work done. We HIGHLY recommend this company."

"Plumber snaked the toilet and fixed the sensor on the urinal. Quoted $950. Then he said the valve needed to be replaced on the urinal and toilet due to debris in the piping. Bill jumped to $1900. He said he was on his way to pick up the valve for the toilet and would come down and install it. This was around 11:00 am. I waited till 4:00 pm with no call, no show. The next day I waited till 1:00 pm, then decided to call him. He said it needs a filter installed to catch the debris and would be quite expensive. At that point I asked what the bill was for the work he had already done. He still tried to charge me the $1900. After complaining about him not showing up the day before after telling me he was on his way, and tacking on one issue after another I paid the $975 and terminated any further work."

"My experience with Marc at Make it Drain was fantastic. We had a problem with leakage under the house that we thought was fixed when we bought the place. Turns out two years later that something wasn't done right and we had wastewater accumulating from the kitchen. Marc from Make it Drain came out on short notice on the weekend to look at the job, and he gave me a great estimate, educated me about the issues, talked me through the process, and had a friendly but no-pressure approach. I had several other companies out to make estimates, and one of the estimates was three times what Marc quoted me!! When we arranged the job it was easy, and Marc and his guys showed up on time, did exactly what he said he'd do, kept everything super clean, took pictures to show me what was going on, and continued to keep me looped in so I understood everything. It was a painless process, done quickly and professionally. I will call them anytime I have plumbing needs!"

"While I was painting behind my stove I bent down next to the gas line and actually felt air blowing from a hole in the line onto my cheek--but the air was natural gas. I knew I had smelled some gas, but I kept assuming it was the pilot light. Nope, it was a huge leak in the gas line. No wonder I felt light-headed. I called So Cal Gas to come check it out and their tech replaced the line, but when he tested the pressure on the gas line in the whole house there was still a significant leak. Yikes. The gas company shut off the gas to the entire house, so no cooking, no hot water for showers or laundry. I called another different plumbing company who charged $99 to do an initial visit--wherein they wanted me to sign paperwork for a $600 test of the gas line--but on the first visit they didn't do any work, so I would need to schedule another appointment for a few days later for the gas line test. More cold showers for me. I was informed that if they would cap all of the appliances, then if the line was still leaking, all the horizontal lines would need to be replaced which would be about $9,000, then if that didn't work, all the vertical lines would be replaced for about another $2,000. So upwards of $11k. I asked around and everyone told me they thought that was too high, so I started looking and I found good reviews on Angi for Andy Castillo Plumbing. Their technician, Gus, came out the next day, and immediately went to work. Their gas line test was about $300--so HALF what the other company was charging, and there was no $99 initial visit fee. Gus replaced all five of the interior gas lines and old valves to see if that would hold pressure (and to bring the lines up to code, which they definitely were not). IT WORKED!! Instead of spending $11,000, the entire job cost about $900. Gus checked the line for pressure multiple times to make sure it was holding, then he did it again in front of me, so I could see that it had been repaired. When the gas company inspectors came, they said the line was solid, and they restored my gas!! The entire time Gus was there, he explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it, in clear terms. When I asked him how much it might be if he needed to replace all the gas lines (if the pressure didn't hold), he told me it would be around $3,000--which is almost A QUARTER of what the other company would have charged for the same service. My old plumber retired and I've been looking for someone reliable, honest and skilled to do periodic work on my 110 year old house--and now I found him. Gus is amazing, this company has honest, kind, clear, skilled plumbers, and they are now my new plumbers! (and there have been about four other companies I tried before them for other plumbing jobs, so I don't say that lightly.)"
