"I hired Emergency Air for routine HVAC maintenance. They informed me that my units needed replacement soon and offered a discounted install if I agreed immediately, as they had a cancellation. The discount included a cosmetically damaged return unit, which they disclosed upfront. Although I initially wanted to collect more quotes, their promise to match any "apples-to-apples" offer persuaded me to proceed. Installation happened quickly, but the crew left debris behind (including insulation and a 3' Unistrut), failed to anchor the units properly, and generally gave the impression they didn’t want to be there. Follow-ups were required for several issues: anchoring the units, caulking vents, repairing drywall, and fixing a loosened shelf. These stretched out into November. When I later tried to invoke the apples-to-apples price match, I was told it didn’t apply post-installation—contrary to what I was promised. After persistent follow-up, I was eventually told I had two years to submit comparable quotes. I did exactly that—twice—with valid, lower-cost quotes for the same equipment.
