"They arrived approximately 5pm. Said they were going to install water heater, expansion tank for $95 additional and a plastic drip pan for $76 additional. I informed them that I checked with the city building commissioner and was told I did not need the drip pan in an unfinished basement with a floor drain within 2ft of unit. Service man says no drip pan no water heater. It’s too late to call the city as they closed and if I knew it was going to be a money grab I could have purchased a water heater and installed it my self rather than sit at home all day waiting for them to arrive. Also the inspection failed because they failed to install the proper shut off valve. I appealed to the business owner saying I was not told nor is there anywhere on their web site mentioning this. He said I put a drip pan on every installation whether customer wants or needs it or not or city codes don’t require it. Lowe’s has a similar pan for less than $10."

He installed a filter that I'd already bought, checked the April Air humidifier and filter. Everything checked out OK. The technician was friendly and personable as was the one who came last year. "On Thursday, the technician (David) came to my house to look at two projects: replacing a leaking electric water heater, and installing a new gas line (in my crawlspace) to my masonry fireplace so I can convert from wood to gas logs. He explained my options, and quoted prices for these options. I asked if he could do the work on the upcoming Saturday, and he scheduled this before he left! I ordered the gas tankless water heater and the gas line to my fireplace. By the way, I had 3 different plumbers look at this work, WyattWorks had the lowest prices. On Saturday David and Alex arrived early in the morning and worked past 6:30 PM to complete both jobs. The installations were great. Everything to code, and with neat, high quality workmanship and thoroughly tested. They cleaned up the work areas and hauled away my old water heater. In other words, a typical WyattWorks job."
