"We freaked out when we first saw the water coming into our basement and called the first companies we could think of (Bigger companies that you hear on the radio). The first one could not get out to even look and give a quote for 2 weeks. The second was 3 weeks. Every time it rains, water would run in and waiting weeks or months was just aggravating and stressful. I would definitely use them again, but hopefully won't need to. If you don't want to watch your basement flood every time it rains while waiting for someone that is too busy to even give a quote, do yourself a favor and at least let them provide a quote."

"The job entailed:
(1) removing old, beat up Bermuda grass;
(2) leveling out the back yard (removing an ineffective swale which rendered the yard difficult to walk in);
(3) removing prior stone walled garden areas - without damaging the plants;
(4) laying out the wall - this took us a while, with Scott patiently repositioning stones an inch or two to create a wall line that is aesthetically pleasing;
(5) installing a drain system behind the wall, and packing it with clean, black dirt ($600 worth of it!);
(6) capping off the wall with decorative stones, which were glued down for stability - creating extra seating in the garden;
(7) laying sod - gorgeous, thick, premium fescue cut to precise bed lines;
(8) repositioning existing sprinkler heads to provide coverage to the garden above the wall;
(9) trenching bed lines in the large front yard (which has healthy, but invasive, Bermuda grass) and refreshing the pine straw mulch at the bed lines throughout the yard;
(10) cleaning up the job site.
In just under a week, Ground Cover transformed a sad-looking yard into a place we enjoy inviting friends. I love looking out the kitchen window to see the graceful curves of the wall, and I look forward to filling the new easy-access garden with plants.
