"Eugene and his team were very professional and did a great job with my kitchen floor. During the demo part, they ran into some unplanned issues with the flooring, and then later with the tile itself but they always made it work or suggested the best options to move forward. The job was completed on time and the finished floors looks great."

"Within days of purchasing the deal, I received the instructions and paper to draw my table templates. The table has 2 drop leaves plus 2 additional leaves that can be inserted in the table. The templates were pretty easy to draw. The finished pads were delivered in a very short time. They fit the table and each of the 4 leaves perfectly and magnetically lock together to keep them aligned when on the table. A year and a half later, I still love these pads."

"David and his asst, showed up on time and his estimate was spot on. We had a couple of issues that came up, but he worked through them in a professional manner and did so with some creative solutions. I would hire him again. His work was very meticulous and extremely sturdy. One of the BEST on Angies!!!!

"I don't usually write reviews online, but in this situation I cannot help myself. I was blown away by Mark's responsiveness and work ethic. I venture to say that Mark is faster, smarter, more efficient, and more detail-oriented than most any contractor. I was in a desperate situation (had to fire another contractor for unfortunate reasons and NEEDED our only tub replaced and bathroom tiled so my fiancé could use it to recover from surgery in a few days). Mark problem-solved quickly, told me to buy a new tub, and came over Friday at 5 after his regular work day to help me get the tub replaced in under 2 hours. After asking his wife first (classy), he offered to work over the weekend to get the job done. We worked side by side to knock out the bathroom in 2 very long days. Being a new home owner, I was jazzed to learn how to tile and Mark was an excellent leader and teacher. Honestly, I could go on and on. This guy is for real. He's professional, skilled, and efficient as all get out. I'm sure he isn't perfect, but I think you'd be very hard pressed to find a better skilled or more enjoyable contractor in the area. "

"EVERYTHING WAS GOOD WITH THE ESTIMATE AND THE INITIAL INSTALLATION, BUT THEN THE PERSON DOING THE WORK DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR 2 DAYS( WE LATER LEARNED HAD VEHICLE TROUBLE) BUT WE JUST SHUT DOWN THE JOB AS NOT MUCH AS LEFT TO DO AND WE NEEDED TO MOVE FORWARD. WE WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE AGAIN, AS IT IS UNLIKELY THE VEHICLE TROUBLE WOULD OCCUR AGAIN"

"They got the extremely difficult marble cuts completed that I could not.  However, your ad states contract work including tile.  Owner (Shawn), stated that tile was not a part of this package.  They went ahead and performed the work anyways.  I was told by one of their PM's Zack via voicemail that "generally factor 20% material waste when cutting tile".  Over 40% was wasted and cuts were extremely chipped, as if pushing the tile through blade too fast.  I've cut enough marble tile to know.  Overall, for a company with a good rating on Angie's List, quality was not up to par, all else was at a C or above.  I would probably just try and finish the job myself next time and avoid SL Green.

"The project went very well and in a timely manner. They were very good at listening to what we wanted and were even willing to make changes along the way. As an example, we ended up wanting a particular one piece shower in the master bathroom, but the unit would not fit through any of the doors. So Sam and his crew removed a large double wide window into the bedroom to get the shower unit into the house. He then tore out about three feet of bathroom wall, installed the shower and replaced the wall and window. Also, Sam's crew cleaned up their work areas every day, and the installed portable walls of clear plastic to preven dust from getting into other areas of the house. Very professional!"

"Considering how complicated it was it went very well. They used some of the materials I had purchased and they supplied the rest. The person who did the work was very nice person and a hard worker. It was during the summer rush and he was very conscientious about keeping the project moving, even though he was over booked. He did a wonderful job on a very difficult process. I would highly recommend Aaron again-He did a beautiful job."

"Generally it went very well. Johnathan Wilson, the owner, came out to do the estimate. He was friendly and able to answer my questions and address my requests because he is also, and has been, an installer. He sent me a bid and I had a number of questions, which he always answered in a thorough manner. Since John had seen the house, was an experienced installer, and owned the company, communication was very good and more efficient than the other bidders. He also provided more information than other companies, and his thoughts and questions prompted to me to re-think several aspects of the job and ask more questions of the other bidders. The only major drawback here was price. Ever-Green Doors' final bid estimate of $1805 was about $230 more than the company with the winning bid, and about $330 more than the lowest bidder. Also, I did not want the regular vinyl stop molding, and John said that if I wanted to have some kind of wood stop molding, we'd probably have to include a carpenter for the job. However, the winning bidder had no problem providing a wood/vinyl stop molding and no carpenter would be needed. I think Ever-Green is a good company, but this time the "price was not right"."

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings installation projects in Government-Camp, OR

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
