"My basement had wall crack steps, horizontal cracks, bowing issues along with moisture issues. Water would come in the basement regularly. Everything was taken care of by RENEW about 6-7 years ago. They replaced some of the foundation bricks, installed a drainage system, placed reinforcement rods along the walls and installed a sump pump. RENEW also helped me with additional request as the project progressed (removing personal items, etc). On the exterior they added and pitched dirt along with placing decorative rocks. I’m writing this 6-7 years later so I’m sure I’ve left a few things out. Since having the work done, my basement has been dry. THERE IS NO WATER/MOISTURE PROBLEMS AT ALL! RENEW is a family business that takes pride in their work. They are dependable, personable, reasonable with cost and most of all knowledgeable. Most reviews are done relatively close to when the work is performed. My review is years later which should tell anyone reading this, they do excellent work at a reasonable price."

"This year, after six weeks of dealing with a continuous weeping wet finished basement we had enough! In March 2018 we contracted Superior for a full waterproofing of our large ranch home basement. The Superior crew sure knew what they were doing. Totally fixed the problem and were neat and courteous during this trying ordeal. Glad we “bit the bullet” and pursued the project. Since the install, we have had some very large rainfalls and have experienced no water problems. We went on a ten day vacation with confidence and no water concerns. A 6 inch rain storm occurred while we were gone. From northern Minnesota while we were away, we remotely monitored the sump pump performance via WIFI using a iPhone which convinced us the waterproofing investment spent was well worth it. No weepers! This waterproofing project may be the best single home investment we made in since purchasing the eleven year old home in 1982. The equity in our home has increased with this fully warrantied system and remains in affect or as long as we own the home. The warrantee can be transferred to a new owner bringing higher value to a home sale. Talk to Superior and come and see our basement before we confidently drywall the walls and tile the floor. "First, I would like to say your crew was nice to work with. We have not had enough rain to see if the job was a success or not. I would like to say that we were disappointed in the installation of the egress window well, but after your crew came back out and repaired it, it looks good. We were not happy that your crew did not say anything about the damage that was done to the rain gutter and soffit. I do not think they would have said anything if I would not have seen it and said something. When your crew came back to repair the egress window well, they told me they would go get some paint and paint it. That was not done, and that would not have fixed the gutter and soffit that is only a year old. Now to the inside, we think your crew did a good job installing the drain tile, removing the debris, and cleaning things up, however, we are not happy with the way the concrete was put back in. It is not smooth, there are stones showing, and we think we could have done a better job. When your crew came back out to repair the egress window well, they said they could grind off the high spots, but I told them not to bother because it will still look like a kid did the job."

"We removed the wood paneling in the basement shortly after moving in.  That's when we noticed 13 cracks in the foundation.  None of them structural issues.  They came in and repaired all of them in one day.  A couple of them were difficult to get to due to stairs and piping, but they did a great job on all of them.

"Generally well overall. Unfortunately, the weather (early spring) put off the date for the final paving over the outside drain tile. There was also an area along the basement wall for which they didn't install the seepage material (no explanation why). The team broke one basement window, reported to the manager that I had approved replacing ALL the windows with glass block ($200 each for 5 windows). I explained that I had not spoken with them at all, and I'd be willing to replace the ONE broken window. They replaced two. At no extra charge to me. I felt as though it was my responsibility to nag (when will you be able to finish? what's going on with the outdoor work?), when that should be the priority of the business... keeping me informed about what's going on. Finally, when moving appliances, they destroyed my washing machine (cracked a cement part so it couldn't be repaired). I wasn't aware this had occurred until after the fact. I complained but have had no response. Despite the carelessness and unresponsiveness, that basement is dry as a bone. Can't complain on that note. I marked that I would hire again... slightly unsure about that. I'd like to think there's a perfect company out there that would contact me up-front about when work stops or will continue, or when they break something. Otherwise, the foundation work + sump pump install was superb."
