"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Berg Plumbing on three different remodeling projects, and each experience has been outstanding. They are consistently reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented. Communication is clear from start to finish, and they always show up on time and ready to work. The quality of their workmanship is excellent, and I especially appreciate their ability to anticipate potential issues and offer practical solutions that save time and money. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any plumbing project — they’ve become my go-to plumber for remodels. "

"Tenant initiated the call.  Avalanche confirmed the service need with owner prior to onsite visit.   After onsite visit, called owner to provide options/recommendations.   Owner conferred with tenant regarding options, and returned call to Avalanche to approve service option.  Avalance completed the installation same day.  Avalance initiated the product registration the following morning and initiated the invoice to me by email. "

"They identified that the proposed plan to install a boiler system would be costly and require a lot of demolition. They arranged for a competitor HAVC company to review and bid a forced air system including meeting us on site a second time. Coppersmith verified appointment times, was timely, knowledgeable, and considerate of cost vs return of solution over current heating system. We will consider Coppersmith for future plumbing needs. <br /> <br />"

"They give us an estimate of a flat rate for the job.  We found them to be professional, reliable, very courteous, friendly and helpful.  They showed up when they said they would, did the job when they said they would do it.  Sometimes when we get a quote people tag on added charges but with them there were no added charges.  They did the work for the quoted price."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Grand Junction, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
