"Well, I had a hidden problem that I was not aware of and signs of an infestation that I never experienced. I got 3 quotes to replace some dry rotting wood , Sauba construction was the first to answer through Angi’s list. They let me know the problem I was experiencing was a termites infestation that had been active for a few years and all damaged wood should be replaced with pressure treated wood. My entire stair case leading to the basement had to be removed, a couple support beams, the half wall at top of the stairs and part of my pantry wall. I couldn’t believe the termite damage happening right under my nose. They replaced everything to look like new. Keep in mind that we were learning the extent of the damages as they continued the demolition. They gave me updated pricing as they discovered more bad wood. Remember, I had 3 quotes for this job. Sauba’s final charge was much lower than the starting cost of the other 2 contractors. Sauba construction made the renovation affordable."

"Overall had a great experience using Randy and Trent as the contractors for our basement renovation. Randy was very responsive and prompt coming out to give us a free estimate on the work required. He came out within the week to take measurements and draw up rough plans for the renovation. After a few days for him to get estimates on materials and sub contractors Randy came back to go over the details of the quote. He was very knowledgeable and upfront about what work he would be completing and what would be sub-contracted. We were on a tight time frame for when we needed the work completed by and Randy went out of his way to put us on the schedule quickly. In all honesty he kept to his time schedule the best he could, the major constraints were generally involved with scheduling from the sub-contractors (excavation for our egress window, plumbers, and electricians). We did have one run in and set back with one of the sub-contractors and Randy advocated for us, and made sure that we were taken care of. He handled it very professionally and made sure we were satisfied with the final work and resolution. We were very impressed with Randy's ability to stick to a budget, and to communicate if something we wanted done would be an extra (we had a lot of those extras!). Over our eight week renovation we grew to look forward to Randy and Trent's arrival. Always jovial and out going they never made us feel out of place in our own home. If anything, it was a bitter sweet day when they completed the work as we felt like the were almost family towards the end of the project. "This was my first experience with Mr. Handyman, but I'm sure it won't be the last. As a single homeowner with a busy work schedule, I have a pretty narrow window for getting home repairs done, and the list keeps growing and growing. Usually, things don't get done until they become somewhat of an emergency, and that's what happened with my garbage disposal. It hadn't been working for some time, but I just ignored it (who has time to cook anyway?), until this weekend when it stopped draining altogether. After consulting Google and trying a few things unsuccessfully, I submitted an online request for service from Mr. Handyman on Monday night. By Tuesday at lunch time, they called me back to schedule an appointment for the next day (which happens to be my only day off during the week). The phone experience was extremely efficient and friendly. This morning they called to let me know that they had had a cancellation, so that they could come early, which at first didn't work for me, but when my schedule unexpectedly changed, I called back, and they were more than accommodating, and I was able to have Ron come to my home early. They called when he was on his way, and he was able to fix the problem in mere minutes. Not only did he fix what turned out to be a very simple issue, he didn't make me feel silly for not being able to fix it myself, and showed me what to do if it happens again, and even left me with the right tool to use if I need it in the future! He apologized for having to charge me for a full hour, and offered to look at any other projects I might have. He gave me some good advice on some lighting issues in my living room. They were excellent craftsmen and attentive to every detail. They stayed on the project until every detail and item met all of our expectations. They were even meticulous about cleaning up everyday and communications with the office team and the on-site work team was excellent -- the kitchen lead would even text me when I was out of town for work to keep me informed and answer any questions.
