"It was not an easy job at all, but the patience and clear instructions of Wally C. from Neli Virtual Appliance Repair made it possible, and successful. Experience with tools and mechanical assembly required for my tasks, but Wally thought I could do it and he was right. If I couldn't complete the repair, I would have at least been sure of the diagnosis when I engaged a repair service. Money well spent either way. It's a brave new world!"

"Highly recommend Home Squad! From our first interaction they made me feel like we were already a valued customer. We didn’t have a huge job, but they were professional nonetheless. I called them for an error code on our LG dryer and the tech was able to come out and get the issue resolved, as well as let us know about the things we could do to get not only our dryer, but all of our appliances maintained."

"Installation went extremely well. Despite a somewhat tricky install, Drew did a great job making the new installation much better than the old one. All my contacts with the company went very well, Tim and Drew are both professional and knowledgeable individuals. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will use them again for my gas hot water heater."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Lee was eager to please and worked hard but I needed him to come back after leak continued to try other things and ultimately finish what was started. I had my house painter complete the sealing of the dormer window but ceiling still not patched and he never returned or followed up on the work ultimately. It was sometimes hard to get him to come over as he was too busy on other projects. With a leak it needs to be looked at when it is happening. I won't know if it still leaking till a big storm returns again (soon)."

This was a dream remodel! Brian came to the house several times and provided several options for design. He had infinite patience with us as we came up with new things to add. He worked well with the designer we worked with, Colleen Wiley of Interior Moods. Brian was good at explaining what different options would involve and would offer his opinion on different aspects of the design where
his experience would help us decide. The bid we received did not include appliances (which we bought at Metropolitan Appliance), plumbing fixtures (bought through Interior Moods at Better Bath and Kitchen) , decorative pendants, or cabinet pulls (great deal at Hardware Northwest in Georgetown). Brian's bid was significantly cheaper than the other bids we received, but the raves on
Angie's List and the recommendations from his references convinced us that it was OK to take the cheapest bid. Another thing is that Brian said that he would be on the site every day to take care of matters as they arise, which he was and did.  He is not just a salesman who then turns the project loose, he is on site every day working alongside his crew and checking on the quality of everything.
The biggest issue started on day two after the demo had begun--a wall we wanted out couldn't be moved because of being a support wall. Brian was very accommodating in getting a change order of the cabinetry to fit in the altered space. Once that issue was resolved, the project moved on smoothly. Brian was always saying that they "would make it right" if I had a question about something that didn't look right, and he did We were impressed with his integrity and his patience. His subs were all skillful and personable and came when they were supposed to. They all also had great things to say about working with Brian. How often can you say that!!  Al was Brian's regular worker on our project. He was great! One thing that came up that shows how Brian works--our cooktop
hood was going to be vented up through the ceiling and then take a turn to go outside. Every way that they tried to run the vent, they encountered a support beam! Brian constructed a way to get the venting to go below the flooring with the added advantage of using the same vent hole to the outside that we had before.
January 2013 update--I never finished this review because we had some issues with the flooring not being finished to our liking and I was waiting until that was done.  However, I see on Angie's List that Brian ran into some problems with the Big Deal and was not able to handle all the calls and problems that this entailed. I decided to submit my review because I now know why the floor was put on the back burner. Please read Brian's response to one of his reviewers.  What he said about how he wanted to run his company on integrity and good workmanship is so true.  I sincerely hope that Brian overcomes the bad reviews regarding the Big Deal because what he and his company are are a bath and kitchen remodel company and they do that excellently. I was so surprised when I didn't hear from Brian, because he has always been prompt in returning calls and always caring about my concerns.  I worried something had happened to him and now I know that something did--the Big Deal did him a big disservice.
Please disregard the bad reviews on the Big Deal and look at the outstanding reviews of the remodeling that Brian has done.  He transformed our kitchen from a tired, faded old 80s kitchen into a modern, functional space that we love and that works well.  I would call Brian again and will when we want to redo the entrance and powder room.

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Granite Falls, WA

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
