"We did the due diligence and had 4 different companies come give us quotes ranging from $12,500 to $36,000 for 16 windows and a sliding glass door. We made the decision to go with a local company, and so far we are very happy with the whole process and products. We chose Ryan Renovations Windows Siding & Roofing. Ryan is the person that came to talk to us. He was very thorough explaining everything and answered all our questions. Ryan Renovations was not the lowest quote but they definitely were not anywhere near the highest quote either. It took approximately 5 weeks from decision day and subsequent measuring day till our new windows/sliding glass door were installed. The installation guys were quick and clean. We had to vacuum under all of the windows, but that was it. It would have taken 2 days - but ended up being 2.5 due to rain. They required 50% down when we signed the contract and then the remaining 50% was due when Ryan came to our house after the install to make sure we were satisfied and we knew how to operate everything. One other surprisingly good thing is that it's much quieter in the house now! The windows were done a few days prior to July 4th. Our dog goes crazy with all the fireworks going off. We could still hear them, but they were way more muffled than before with the old windows."

"To begin, the wait for an appointment to install was tooooo long (village permit expired before install). The communications could have been better. The install crew was quick and professional, however after a very long wait for the installation, all of the materials were not provided as well as a damaged window (cracked screen) was installed. Follow-up emails were sent to find out an anticipated date to fix the damaged window and provide the missing screens. The referral segment needs attentions: 1. referred my mom after I paid a deposit and signed a contract for services, but her windows (she had more) were installed before mine. As to date, I've still never received anything for her referral. 2. I referred my neighbor C Lacey, she received 1 call, and have not spoken to anyone else. 3. My mom's neighbor received a quote, and asked me for a number to provide a call for approval to purchase. I'm very pleased with my windows, but the overall (start to finish) needs serious tweaking, with customer service being the #1 priority."

"Was great from start to finish. Dan the sales rep was on time, honest, personable and caring about our budget. Installation day the installers arrived on time calling to let us know they were on their way. The living room window was a concave bow which other companies said "OH" to and scratched their heads! The installers, Scott, Brent and Dan were awesome! The dining room window was out and in quickly and easily. The living room window took them 6 hours to install and complete the trim work but we are so satisfied with it that we are just amazed at how well it turned out. Because of the year the house was built (1953) the crew closed off the area and tested for lead paint which we found out later we had on the living room sill which was really good to know! After the job was completed they cleaned up well and had everything back to the way it was before they arrived. Had one problem with customer service after with ill fitting screens where they "passed the buck" back to our sales rep and he took care of our concerns by arranging someone to come out on 7/26/17 with new screens so we'll see how that goes since I have read that I am not the only one that was not totally satisfied with Pella Customer Service! Too bad that one part of this entire project became frustrating since up to that point we were beyond happy with everyone and everything. Would certainly recommend the company, installers and workmanship. Even the village inspector was impressed with the job that was performed!"

"Overall the work went well. They had to replace some rotten decking but the additional quote on that was very reasonable. My only complaint is they ask you to be there for the estimate, when no other company in the area requires this, and the man was late getting there.  The price was extremely fair and I would use them again in the future. <br />"

"They hauled away thet old furnace and swept the area before putting a new one in. The installation went very smoothly. They were very prompt and I was very satisfied. When I had the front door done, it was also done on time and with no mess. I have also purchased stainless steel appliances from them. They installed the refridgerator, microwave, dishwasher and stove all at the same time. I had no problems with this situation, either. Marsha Elliot is the lady that is in charge of At Home Services. She was very nice to set everything up for me and I got free estimates."

"Alex, the salesman, was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of matching woodwork, siding and other windows that were not replaced. He was helpful, professional and did not use pressure to purchase the most expensive products. He worked with us on financing. Mike Ward and his crew of Justin and 2 other young men were prompt and professional. Their work was excellent and they cleaned up afterwards and vacuumed the carpet. After the windows were installed, they demonstrated how the windows worked. The new windows are high quality. We plan on using Renewal by Anderson to replace other windows and doors."

"All Square Roofing did an excellent job replacing my roof after the hail storm in April. Their salesman John Kornacki was extremely helpful with the insurance claim and very thorough in his inspection. Would definitely recommend. ?"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Grant Park, IL

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
