"Gave proposal in writing. Most reasonable one we received. Were very prompt (in dead of winter) installed in 16 degree weather in December. Were very courteous. Put down covers to protect carpet. Did extra things (like level out ground to put unit outside. Explained procedures so we could understand (a 90 year old mother and her 60 year old daughter)"

"These guys are pros! I had called a plumber to do this job, but Chad is an expert in this field and was able to do the job in half the time of a plumber, and do it right...pipe fitting and knowledge of gas lines is an art, and Chad and his crew were super fast, and very accurate. He noticed things not correct on my gas lines, and fixed them quickly and at an affordable rate.  Far exceeded my expectations and I won't use anyone else! <br />"

"We called Andrew for a service call for our propane gas fireplace. He was able to walk through diagnostics with my husband over the phone. Turns out we had an air lock in the gas line as the previous owner had the tank run empty. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and a very friendly guy. He helped us over the phone, no charge! We highly recommend"

"Shawn was like a steady, determined professional plumber, but it started with his assistant and wife Coral.  She was knowledgable and a timely manager for appointments and fixture orders. They are a great team who work in concert to benefit the customer. One thing about Shawn's work ethic was that he concentrated on what the job was and did not stop to engage other subs in conversation. He demonstrated that his time and our money was valuable. We passed the permitting process and would highly recommend him. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Grants Pass, OR

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
