But when we left town for a few days and left the air conditioning on for our cat, we came back to a nightmare. The heat was running at full blast and the house was well over 100°F. It was dangerously hot?this could have killed our cat. This wasn?t a small mistake. It was a serious failure, either in how the system was installed or configured. There was no warning, no alert?just a sealed-up house baking in extreme heat. If you care about the safety of your pets or children, I strongly recommend you do not use Apex for heating and cooling. When I called to report it, they acted like I was an inconvenience. I was told ?someone might call back,? and that was it. No urgency, no concern, no accountability.
