"I had an outside faucet that started leaking. I was very tempted to try to fix it myself or even have one of my neighbors attempt it. After all, ;replacing washers should be easy! Right? However, since the faucet had probably been in place for 30 or more years and I have no working water shut off valve to the house, other than at the street, I was hesitant to let anyone but a professional try the repair. It did turn out only a professional could fix it. It was more than just a washer...the valve also needed replacing. The faucet was very old and that valve is no longer made, even the handle was brittle, frozen on the stem, and the shut off valve inside the house was frozen with age. I tried Angis. Literally within a few minutes I got a call from Kevin, owner of WKD. Shortly Kevin was at my house looking at the job. He gave me an estimate which was exactly what he charged - and the price was very reasonable for the work and time he spent here.
