Working with my property manager, we received several quotes. Chatel Construction was the most competitive, with the "smartest" approach to eliminate unnecessary costs. Since I live out of state, it was critical that the crew were reliable and trustworthy, since they would have access to the home without the owner present. Scott Chatel (owner) or a supervisor was onsite at all times. The results are outstanding. I will absolutely engage Chatel Construction for our future repair and renovation needs."

"Jeff and his crew were amazing to work with! I have had some very bad experiences with previous contractors, and I never thought that I would have such a positive experience with a contractor. Jeff and his crew came in every day and performed their job - left end of the day everything clean and organized - not a mess. They went above and beyond and accommodated changes that I requested that were not part of original quote without adding to our cost. Jeff was courteous, helpful, on time, and worked on weekends as well to make sure job was done in given time frame. they even finished 2 weeks before they had estimated (was told 8 weeks, he finished in 6 weeks. I will definitely be hiring Northgate again in the future once I can afford to do more work to my house. I would 100% recommend Northgate to anyone looking for a contractor. "Working with Jose and is team was an excellent experience. He’s very dependable and reliable . He shows up on time and he works! His prices are very reasonable and his work product is wonderful. Jose was initially hired to do one project for me (renovation of all 3 bedrooms - install new ceiling light (bedroom had no overhead lighting ) repair ceiling, instal new ceiling fan, paint all bedrooms, built two custom closets. After I realized how well he worked, I asked him back to do a second project on my home, repainting the entire interior of my home, repairs to the ceiling etc. he also did more electrical work on the front of the house. He then did some tile replacement and I installed additional lights in the basement area. Based on the work my Neighbour saw at my home they also hired Jose to repaint the entire interior of their home.He’s the ONLY person I will ever call from now on for Anything I need done."

We got estimates from and spoke with many contractors and home improvement companies, but we were looking for someone we could work with for this and future projects as well as someone we could speak with for advice and guidance. I tend to be very picky with the people I work with. Robert was the most straightforward, reasonable, and knowledgeable person we spoke with. His prices are great as well. He makes sure to go above and beyond so the work is completed perfectly the first time with a very high level of detail. You could feel drafts in some parts of the house and the heat would run pretty much constantly in the winter. We had a lot of work that needed to be done. Robert transformed our home from the worst looking house on the block to the best looking house on the block with new vinyl shake siding, custom doors, custom windows, custom interior window trim, exterior lighting, a new garage door, foundation repair and paint, framing, insulation, drywall installation and repair, and a bunch of other repairs along the way. He fixed numerous additional issues as the work was completed, giving us results that will last while keeping our budget in mind. It looks and feels like a brand new house. Robert and his team are also friendly and understanding. You may be reading this review in the future, but the year is 2020 and this is a very different year. My wife and I are both working from home, and our son is home too. Through the project, Robert and his team made sure to work area by area and cleaned as they moved to minimize the impact to our family. This level of care is very difficult to find. After working with Robert, I can say I will definitely work with him for all my future projects. After seeing Robert and his team working on our house and the results, our neighbors have started hiring him to take care of their various needs as well."
