"This company is OUTSTANDING! We had damage to the windows in the house we just bought and contacted Jeff to come out and do and estimate. His team responded immeadiately and came out the following day. Paul could not have been nicer, more professional or helpful. He look at the damaged window and was able to ascertain who installed them through a code on the window. Note, none of the other window companies pointed this out. He said that the windows are probably under warranty but if we could not get ahold of the installer we should just replace the glass through a glass company as the windows have another 5 years of shelf life. He said we did not need 16 new windows. I had 3 other quotes and all of them said we needed new windows. It is nice in this day and age to find a company that does the right thing and put integrity and good buisiness before a sale. I would never go to anyone else in the future and recommend them to every one I know."

"It has been one year since the replacement, so I felt it was time to leave a review. We replaced all the windows in our smaller mid-century house. Zen provided the windows in a timely manner, and installed them all in a few days. We are generally happy with the quality of the windows, although the locks & operators to open the windows feel a bit cheap. Also, the screens pop in & out, and while that is okay, the lack of a locking mechanism makes me wonder how they will last in the long term. HOWEVER - the team that replaced the windows did not put down any tarps or protection when they took out our old windows. They forgot to remove three of them from our property, and we were left to deal with that. The bigger issue was that they shattered a bunch of the window panes while removing, and to this day, a year later, we are STILL finding large shards of glass on the ground while gardening or planting. We don't have kids, but if we did, we would have had to spend thousands on replacing our gardening, tearing up mulch and dirt, and attempting to keep index-card-sized pieces of glass from being left on our lawn. They did come by once to clean up, but, as I noted, just this week I found two large shards shallowly buried in our side yard. Would not hire again."

"I needed de-leading and containment done on exterior window sills, exterior front porch ceiling, and minor interior work (including one door jamb that needed scraping). I also had 8 windows I wanted to replace as part of the project, and had a particular brand and model in mind. Peter had a fair and reasonable price that he quoted me in October 2021. When he did the job in October 2022, he kept the same price he originally quoted me. I supplied the windows myself; and even though Peter had never worked with those particular windows before, he was able to install them nicely. The lead re-inspection went through without any issues. Peter also took care of any remaining issues."

"I replaced 17 windows in my home. Some where double windows and 1 triple window. It took some time for the windows to come in after ordering, but all work is completed now. They did a great job."

"Phil and Doug were wonderful to work with- very responsive, professional, and answered all of my questions. We replaced a regular window in our home with a 7 foot bay window, which is beautiful and we absolutely love it. My one complaint was that a hole in the wall underneath the window was left following the installation, as well as some cracks, which were patched with a foamy substance but not a proper smooth plaster repair job that could be painted. We had to take care of that repair ourselves. Otherwise, my experience was very positive."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Greenbush, MA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
