They removed the old mortar and fixed the loose bricks. It truly looks like a new foundation. I even requested if they could come back and touch up an area below the foundation that was not part of the original job. They did so without question. "On the good side, provider was able to accommodate my preferred schedule and he showed up on time.  Since I can't really see into my gutters I have to assume he did a good job.  He left the site nice and clean.
On the less than perfect side, my Angie's List deal wound up costing more than my normal guy charges, so it was no bargain.  The provider overcharged my wife by about $80.  Fortunately I saw the receipt and called him.  Provider blamed it on a math error and promptly refunded the over-payment but my advice would be to look at your bill carefully before paying it.
