"Estimator showed up on time and examined the issue, taking pictures of the problem to show me. Gave me two options, one was to just fix the main issue and the other was a longer term solution for the whole chimney cap flue system. I chose the later. Cost was about $2700. They removed the crown, removed the broken top flu tile and put in a new crown and tile as well as a "fake" tile around the metal exhaust pipe for the furnace/water heater and raised that pipe so that it won't be spewing excess moisture onto the new flue tile for the main chimney. Work was done on time. Workers seemed to know what they were doing and advised me along the way and took pictures so that I could see the finished product. They took care of our yard and deck and cleaned up after they were done."

If you have not replaced a roof in the last 10 years, the process has changed significantly with/without insurance companies. Due to possible hail/weather damage, Rick performed an initial inspection with pictures to document to share with my agent. After deciding to file a claim, Rick met with the insurance adjusters for their inspection and subsequent decision to replace. Rick's crew removed and replaced all shingles, repairing some roofing boards as necessary, and replaced all vents and gutters and installed gutter guards. They completed all work and clean up in two days. Rick recommended a price competitive shingle with a better rating and longer history. This shingle also qualified for an insurance discount due to its rating. Working with Rick was a pleasure and his regular presence on site was comforting and appreciated to address issues that come up with a project of this magnitude. "Everything went great. He called because he was available early and wanted to know if it would be ok to come earlier then planned. When he arrived, he introduced himself and verified the scope of work requested. He went straight to work. When complete he explained everything he did, showed pictures of things that would need work, and answered all of my questions. It was only $150 for the inspection and cleaning and I received my receipt with the pictures he had taken within minutes. He was quick, clean and very professional. "After interviewing 5 different roofing companies, I chose Moss Roofing. I liked the fact that Benny, the Project Manager, was going to be present the day the job was done. Benny was great at answering my many questions & offered to bring out roofing samples, e-mail a pic of my roof with sample shingles superimposed on it, & nail some samples to my roof when I was having difficulty choosing a new color of shingle. In addition to the roof being replaced, I also was having my chimney replaced with a chimney cap by a heating/cooling company. Moss had to remove my old chimney & coordinate the roof installation with the chimney cap installation. Everything was done the same day with no issues. There was a small problem with the gutter installation, but Moss took care of it immediately & to my satisfaction. Beverly, the owner, was very professional & followed-up on everything. "ALL REPUTABLE ROOFING COMPANIES SEEM OVERLOADED RIGHT NOW. HE FINALLY CAME OUT - OTHER COMPANIES WOULDN'T EVEN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE. I SAID, 'FINE, PUT US ON THE SCHEDULE. DON'T BOTHER WITH A QUOTE. JUST DO IT ASAP.' IT TOOK THEM A WHILE TO COME OUT, BUT THE WORK THAT THEY DID WAS VERY NICE. THEY WERE THE ONLY ROOFERS WHO WOULD ACTUALLY COME OUT AND I APPRECIATED THAT."

"I was very impressed with the quality of work. The tile they replaced had to be ordered and picked up in Indianapolis. I got a call within 2 weeks that it was ready and then it was installed within another 2 weeks. The outside chimney work in the cap area looks good from the picture I was shown as the previous metal flashing up there was rusted pretty bad. The only complaint I have is that they are a smaller company so it can take several weeks for a fireplace cleaning or work to be done...But that is also a part of their charm. The same person came to my house for each job and I felt he was very knowledgeable."
