"They serviced my central air conditioning and forced hot air (gas) for the cheapest out of three quotes I received. The tech was super professional and knowledgeable. They gave an awesome report at the end. Would use again for sure!"

"I noticed a bit of water near my hot water heater.  <br /> After some research, I found that the relief valve required replacing.  I had used Happy Home Plumbing  previously so I called them. I called on Monday afternoon, and was told that someone will be contacting me.  A day went by and I hadn't heard back.  My problem wasn't urgent, but I did want it taken care of. <br /> Wednesday morning, Matt Boucher called and asked if he could check out the project. He arrived in the time frame promised and scoped out the work.  He agreed that the relief valve needed replacing, but recommended a water pressure valve install due to my high water pressure. Being in Haverhill and at the bottom of a hill, my pressure has always been extremely strong.  Matt had mentioned that it is now code. Although I could have passed on this, I agreed to have it installed. (I also had a water hammer problem and was hopeful that this would correct that problem.) <br /> Matt gave me a verbal estimate.  I agreed and asked him to proceed.  He then left to pick up the valves and some tools.  In about an hour and a half, he was all done.  He showed me the finished product and wrote up an invoice. <br /> I'm in good shape now. Thanks Matt and Happy Home Plumbing. <br />"

"Dennis provided everything needed for the project and completed it within the timeframe estimated. He maintains a very neat and clean worksite minimizing dust and mess. All of the new vents and shafts were strategically located, framed, wall boarded and primed leaving only finish painting left for me to do. The new water heater is a Marathon and is very efficient in supplying us with more hot water than we need. The heat and air conditioning is very even throughout the house and the heat pump has substantially cut my heating and air conditioning costs. If you were to walk into my house today, you would not notice the venting or shafts and it would appear that the system was in place when the house was originally built. The new furnace, air conditioning unit, heat pump and hot water heater are all efficient, economical and running perfectly. I could not be more pleased with the end results. <br />"

"Andrew was great. He sized up the leak and completed it quickly. For the hot water feed, after testing the pipe he explained that it could be an easy fix or become a bigger issue but leaving it as it would be ok. We are leaving it for now but will have him back to fix it."

"I spoke to Jay Sebastian on the telephone about corrosion on my water pipes. I told him I thought I might need my house re-plumbed. Jay said I probably had a high level of acid and I should consult with a water company. I did this and ended up getting an acid neutralizing system installed. The corrosion issue is gone! Thanks to Jay's advice I probably saved many 1,000's of dollars on a needless re-plumbing job. <br />"

"When I initially called the office, my call was taken by a real person and all details of the job were discussed, including the amount charged per hour. We scheduled a time and date, and both were met exactly as planned. All work was done to our satisfaction. Will definitely use this plumber again and would definitely recommend to others. <br />"

"Paul came and submitted an estimate that was thousands less than previous estimates. He talked about his experience with the product we were interested in and did measurements. He also let us know his upcoming schedule. He and the men he worked with arrived promptly, sometimes early, and completed the work in a few days, even sooner than expected. They were friendly and professional. Paul was always available by phone if we had questions (e.g., how to turn the boiler on, change the water temp, etc.). The only problem we had was getting a receipt from Ideal Temp after the installation. We eventually got it but the delay (a few weeks) was a little stressful/frustrating. Months later, we have had no problems with the boiler or pipes that Ideal Temp installed and hooked up for us. We would definitely recommend them to anyone installing a boiler or water heater and will probably get back in touch for future plumbing work."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Greenland, NH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
