"Nelson Electric is the best electrical contractor I’ve used in my thirty-eight years of owning and updating my homes. It is difficult to find an excellent contractor who is willing to take on a major remodeling project in old construction, and who handles it efficiently, cost-effectively, and with perfection. This time we were remodeling a 110 year-old bathroom. When we got down to the studs, joists, and rafters, the plans were worthless because of all the surprises. Unphased, the crew was able to trace every hidden wire to destination and source, re-route them as needed, install a new, larger, circuit breaker box, pull wire through neatly, clearly identify and label everything, and finish beautifully the lighting, overhead heating, floor heating, and exhaust fixtures, making for a beautiful bath. "Tl;Dr; AVOID FOR ANYTHING BEYOND SIMPLE MAINTENANCE OR HVAC ONLY JOBS Our entire experience with the HVAC team has been great. They have been attentive, had no problem with cleaning out the vents, and installed a vent fan for us with no issue. I had no problem pay for what they charged. It was a good chunk of money, but I thought it was worth it for what they had to do. That brings us to the electric and administration in general. We were having a bathroom vent fan replaced and exhausting out from the roof. This required an electrician to come and install the fan. Additionally he was going to be looking at some electrical anomalies we were seeing in the house (GFCI flipping, inconsistent current). He wasn't told about the fan at all. He wasn't even really told about the GFCIs flipping either. So when he gets here, he gets sprung on him these additional things. He does the GFCI thing, isn't able to see the inconsistent current while he is here so doesn't do anything with that, and then goes to do the bathroom. He says he ran new conduit. Inspecting what is there myself, I can tell you there is no new conduit. Why would new conduit be ran when no new switches, no new functionality was added? He charges us well over $500 for installing that fan AND HE LEAVES A HOLE AROUND THE FAN DIRECTLY TO THE ATTIC. How does a company charge that without completing the job with no intention on following up? We contest the price we were charged for service with management and they keep dragging their feet to "try to learn more", offering to refund a charge that I wasn't trying to contest. They keep promising to call back but aren't. There is no communication between different members of the team except through notes that don't tell them anywhere close to the full story. When I finally heard back from them today, they came back with a "Well your wife was okay with paying it and the work" when she was under the (admittedly presumptuous) impression that the HVAC guys would fix the fan because, again, why would they leave a hole in the ceiling like that. Not only that since she she paid the cost there will be no discussion of refund for work they didn't do. The communication is extremely poor from them. Do not use them from anything that is at all more complicated that requires multiple departments or this is the risk you run."

I always defended 4 Seasons to all my neighbors and clients/friends when they would say how terrible 4 seasons was at telling them they needed unwarranted repairs or replacement. I never felt that 4 seasons was scamming me until yesterday. The tech told me that I needed 2 parts that were failing, but when I asked him to show me, he couldn't tell me why the parts were failing. He didn't know that I know my stuff and knew that the parts in question were just replaced and were just fine. So when I called the tech on it, he said that 4 seasons is asking their techs to find stuff wrong with their units to cover their as**es for the "No Breakdown Guarantee" that they offer customer for 1 year. So if something was wrong with their system, 4 seasons would not be liable since they "supposedly" found something wrong with the unit. They quote outrageous prices for the repairs to make you actually buy a new unit. This is not the ethical treatment I was used to for 20 Years. Very disappointed and now considering switching my loyalty to another company."
