Millbrook Home Remodeling, Inc., was founded in 1991 and is now celebrating our 28th year in business. Millbrook Home Remodeling, Inc., is an experienced general contractor. Millbrook Home Remodeling is also a full service insurance repair company. we specialize in repairs due to Fire water and storm damage We look forward to speaking with you.

"The contractor I dealt with Rob Grosh, was everything a customer could ask for, my house caught fire, I had to live out in another place for over a year while it was torn down everything was lost, I had a different contractor initially that was a nightmare and caused significant loss of property and time, however when Rob and Millbrook came to us we were cautious but happily suprised at his care and concern for our property and what we wanted done. Overall he and his crew went ABOVE AND BEYOND to rebuild and replace the home we loved and lost, and turned it into a place we could love even more. Can't say enough, God bless them!😁❤"

AmeriClean has been providing carpet cleaning services in the tri-state area since 1984. Take a look at our reviews. The complete satisfaction of each and every customer that AmeriClean serves is of the utmost importance. Customer service is priority #1 and we promise to treat every customer as if they were family. AmeriClean proudly serves Washington & Frederick Counties in MD, Franklin County in PA, and Berkeley, Morgan & Jefferson Counties in WV.

"Can't say enough god things about this company. From beginning to end, each person I talked to was very personable and honest. From estimating to the actual cleaning they were courteous, careful and friendly. They carefully considered each carpet area differently depending on the age and material. (polyester, wool, etc) And they were very careful with our house—corner protectors for their hoses, and watchful of painted walls. They really know what they're doing and the price was so reasonable! I'd recommend them to anyone with modern or antique carpet. I'll never use anyone else."

A Veteran Owned Demolition and Removal Services company. Started by Owner Matthew Hull a 8 year Marine Corps Veteran. We Cover Demolition, Removal Services, Concrete and Excavation. We strive for the best and settle for nothing less!

"Matthew (Matt) Hull, Seven Six Two Removal, and Brim Contracting LLC deserve ZERO stars. I rue the day I contracted with Matt Hull for my whole house renovation project, and only hope my warning can save others from a similar experience. Unless you enjoy paying twice for shoddy work, chasing down contractors, receiving false promises about timelines, being told repeatedly that your project isn’t making the contractor any money, having your project abandoned, and flirting with financial ruin, steer clear of Matt Hull and Seven Six Two Removal. Matt’s actions caused me significant financial losses— from the additional months of carrying costs, the extra payments in the tens of thousands to subsequent contractors to repair all his mistakes and finish the project, and from the lower sale price and incentives I had to offer to finally close a sales contract, a full 15 months after engaging with Matt Hull and Seven Six Two Removal. I don’t know if Matt is malicious or incompetent, but the results speak for themselves. Here’s just a sample of what I endured: -Mounds of trash and dangerous debris left everywhere. -Not a single room in the home was finished after six months—just a patchwork of poorly done and half-done jobs. -Only 50% of the interior was painted; the exterior was left half-painted with random substantial holes left open in the exterior brickwork of the home, resulting in dead birds and bird feces inside the house -Matt drywalled over the only kitchen HVAC vent (located in brand new ductwork in the ceiling bulkhead) and then installed a wall cabinet directly underneath the drywalled-over vent location. This was only discovered when investigating why the newly installed HVAC system wasn’t properly cooling the main floor. Correcting this issue cost additional time and money and risked significant damage to the new HVAC system. -Upstairs bathroom tile work was so bad that it looked like a middle school project—uneven, crooked, and sloped. It had to be gutted and reinstalled. -A toilet was installed incorrectly, causing plumbing headaches and extra bills. -Shower head in newly constructed basement bathroom installed off-center and, rather than correcting this obvious error, Matt tiled around it- making any future fix a major, expensive undertaking. -Vanity lights in the new bathroom installed off center on a tiled wall, requiring re installation and retiling of the area -Kitchen canned lights installed unevenly spaced, disregarding architectural drawings, and the kitchen feature light was not installed at all. Had to hire a professional to relocate the lights, patch and repaint multiple holes in the ceiling, and run new electrical wiring to properly power the fixtures that should have been installed in the first place. Kitchen cabinets and peninsula installed to the floor and walls incorrectly—had to pay a specialist to fix and reinstall. -Doors and doorways were measured and framed incorrectly, leading to wasted money, multiple door orders, and more delays. -Windows trimmed so poorly that standard coverings wouldn’t fit—had to customize every window covering. -Smoke/CO detector placed right next to a vent, a code violation. -Fence gate latch installed upside down, plus random holes cut in the fence. After abandoning the project nearly 11 months ago, Matt promised to return to work on my property “as soon as our schedule frees up.” Despite that promise, I never heard from Matt Hull or Seven Six Two Removal again. I have contracts, receipts, photos, videos, security camera footage, audio recordings, emails, and witnesses to prove every word and have shared this information with my attorney in anticipation of litigation. I am also reporting Matt Hull, Seven Six Two Removal, and related entities to the appropriate authorities in DC and Maryland, so no one else has to endure the anguish and financial jeopardy I experienced. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Matthew (Matt) Hull and Seven Six Two Removal at all costs."

FAQs for fire or smoke damage recovery service projects in Hagerstown, MD

You generally don’t have to recreate the exact layout to receive full insurance benefits. As long as the work occurs on the same site, most policies still apply, and some even let you recover depreciation when you choose updated designs. Call your carrier early, review your coverage in detail, and confirm any requirements before work begins. Staying close to the original footprint often speeds approval and helps ensure safety codes are met.

Proper smoke-removal methods—such as ozone treatment, thermal fogging, and deep cleaning—can clear most odors, but timing depends on how much residue is present and how large the home is. Many jobs take several days, while severe cases can last a week or more. A qualified restoration pro will inspect the damage, recommend the right technique, and verify that air quality and odor levels meet safety standards before the space is considered fully restored.

The first step is calling a licensed restoration pro for a thorough assessment. Acting quickly limits moisture-related damage from sprinklers or hoses, curbs mold growth, and prevents hidden structural problems. Once the initial inspection is complete, the team can outline a step-by-step plan so each repair proceeds safely and efficiently, helping you protect both your property and your family’s health.

Repairing fire damage takes one week for minor restorations and several months for extensive damage affecting multiple areas of your home. The repair duration is determined by the severity and extent of the damage. Consulting a professional restoration team provides a precise timeline that ensures each necessary step is executed safely and efficiently, restoring your home completely.

Ozone treatment is one of the most effective ways to eliminate stubborn smoke odors because it oxidizes the molecules that cause the smell instead of simply covering them up. When a trained pro treats each room and follows the correct safety protocols, most homeowners notice a marked improvement in air quality and little to no lingering odor. Results vary based on how heavy the smoke damage was, but ozone remains a trusted option for deep deodorizing.
