"This was the second project that I have hired TCH to do. It's so nice to be able to hire one contractor and have the same people do all of the work (plumbing, carpentry, tile work, etc.,) instead of having to hire a different company for each part of the project, or have a company sub out the work. TCH has the best personnel, always punctual and very cooperative. Regularly checking with me to be sure the job gets done the way I expected. They were very careful to protect all areas from dust and debris and made an exceptional effort to clean up at the end of each day and when the job was completed. I have to share my 1st attempt on hiring the right guy for this project. It consisted of me getting a couple recommended contractors from others and thought I was good. Instead it was terrible, to the point where we mutually agreed it was best for them to remove the decking and poorly installed addition and walk away. Naturally I cautiously interviewed several more deck builders before deciding on MN Construction.
From the 1st call, Trevor impressed me. He made time out of his busy schedule to stop by or take my calls. He gave me an clear overview, answered questions and concerns from the last guy's work, explained why when asked, left samples, etc. He suggested deferent designs and product over others and why, building my confidence quickly. After we traded a few emails/texts, my decision to go with MN Construction was an easy one.
During the project, with a crew of 3, progress was made quickly. They were efficient, hard working, and asked questions when needed. The results are more than we expected to get because of his recommendations and I know our deck with last longer because of the quality of work/product they used. When I'd point out this or that, boom done, and better than expected. After interviewing several and hiring a couple, it's hard to find guys like this out there. You can bet they will be getting another call from me on other remodel work and I have already passed their name on.

"We were very pleased with Scott (SMS Construction) and his proposed estimate for building the deck, footings, permits required, etc. His price was competitive with other contractors. He was extremely knowledgeable and very conscientious in his description of what needed to be done, and how it was to be done in our face-to-face meeting. He takes pride in his workmanship and it shows in the finished product. I believe in his integrity and follow-thru in what he proposes, executes, and finishes. The deck looks more attractive and was constructed much better than the first deck. The stairs to the deck look great and the color of the wood is also very attractive. (We used "brown treated Pine" instead of cedar.) We are pleased and satisfied that our money was well spent on this contractor and the professionalism he exemplified in the whole process.
