"SouthFace Renovations was absolutely wonderful to work with! Their pricing was competitive with similar contractors. Their professionalism, workmanship, punctuality, prompt communication, and general trustworthy employees with wonderful craftsmanship was impeccable. Johnny, Andrew, Rafael, Pablo and their team were a dream to work with. They replaced our roof, removed and replaced the siding on our exterior chimney, added a new chimney cap, added cricket on the roof, sanded and re-stained our outside deck, repaired and replaced various pieces of siding on the house that was damaged by squirrels, removed the popcorn ceiling in three interior rooms, painted those 3 rooms, including a stairwell/foyer area. I would highly recommend SouthFace Renovations for your next project."

"Al was very kind and straightforward. He did initially tried to charge me a little more than the average for the area but after I explained that I had done research for the labor costs and already have materials he got the cost significantly also mention that you found him on Angie's List. I am very pleased with how the floor looks they did a very quick job some very weird layouts because my house is strange though I love its eccentricity. Though it takes a long time to book him because he is usually busy he works very fast, but not sloppily, and the work was completed in approximately 4 days with a small crew of three one of whom was his son. we are almost done with most of our work but I'm a call him back for some minor repairs thing that needs to be completed the only complaint I have is that at least one of the workers is a smoker and I found a few cigarette butts in my yard or in the bushes next to where they were sawing which was not very pleasant. That is a minor complaint though because as contractors go they show up on time and they get the work done and they get the work done well; which, I don't know if you use very many contractors, is unusual and a good thing. Overall I would use them again in a heartbeat and I would suggest them to other people. <br />"

"It helped save my life. I recently lost my Husband and his income. My air conditioner went out. My Windows are painted shut. So I thought about adding screens to the burglar iron doors. My Husband was the epitome of a Handyman. With him suddenly and unexpectedly dead and his income too, I felt helpless but not hopeless. I put a request in on Angie’s list. Got four calls. One couldn’t help. One I couldn’t afford. One kept promising to come but did not. But “Handyman” Bidwell Company made and kept an appointment with me, accessed the job, went and priced the cost, provided a reasonable cost that I could afford, accepted the job, made the frame and screens. Today I opened both the front porch and side Carport doors and let God’s breeze of fresh air circulate my lungs and my home, I feel pleased and wonderfully blessed to be able to breathe in my home especially since I suffer from acute asthma. I appreciate their quick turn around, their courteous customer service and professionalisms. Sending a special Thank you to the Bidwell Company and a special “Thank You” to Sawyer Bidwell. Thank You Cynthia Kellum"

"It has gone very smoothly, I worked with Alfred Pickett, (205) 837-1011, who quoted the job, scheduled the job with one of Authentic Restoration's roofing crews. It is Alfred who stood fast that our roof was damaged and likely that our insurance adjuster would approve coverage payments. This occurred on an incredible day when I coincidentally paid a home inspector to inspect a small area on my roof that another "sub" of mine had patched. Alfred was standing nearby and we didn't say a word that Alfred was a roofer. I asked the Home Inspector to check our roof while he was up there - and he came down and told me the roof was not damaged by hail! When the inspector left, Alfred showed me on his "Tablet" the picture he took of our roof and there were many pale charcoal-colored spots in the picture. This was the hail damage we suspected that occurred in April 2017. Our terrific Cincinnati Insurance Co. paid all of our $40,638 roofing/new gutters bill except a $2,500 deductible that we happily paid. Authentic Restoration performed a great job on our home's roof and (don't forget) gutters. I am so big on Restoration that we got my youngest Stepson's home re-roofed due to hail damage also, and happily this home was covered by Cincinnati Insurance also (hail damage). In addition, I've led, so far, two of my neighbors who own luxury homes with hail-damaged roofs to Alfred and they are getting new replacement roofs covered by insurance. Alfred has also made things easy in doing our two jobs and I am very fortunate that we crossed paths because he has saved my wife and I some serious money and made it easy!!"

"I contacted several different contractors in Columbus, GA and decided to go with Holland out of Auburn.  They were very responsive and professional.  Something that I didn't find in any of the contractors that I talked to in Columbus.  Daniel and Robert were always reachable and professional and they had the work completed in a very reasonable amount of time.  Even after the work was done, there were a few touch up items that needed to be completed and they were here and had the work done very quickly.  I would definitely use them again and would recommend them for any customer in the Columbus market. <br />"

"We interviewed several contractors and selected Precision Home Crafters because of the professionalism and knowledge of owner George Williams. We wanted to use Marvin Windows through out but because of the expense of Marvin we used them only for the big arched windows and the double-hung windows but used another brand for the living room wall. George Williams oversaw the project from beginning to and. The window installers that worked for Precision Home crafters did an excellent job. George came up with a creative solution to solve a water problem outside the living room wall. His installers did a great job implementing the solution. After the window installation was complete a painting crew completed the job. The workmen thoroughly cleaned the job site before they left. Precision Home crafters is not the cheapest contractor but they are very good and do what they say they will do. I believe you can hire Precision home Crafters with confidence for almost any remodeling job."

"As always, Joel and his crew did outstanding work. Pricing was perfect for us - we weren't expecting to be able to put in the screened porch yet. The crews that came out to work not only did fantastic work, but were courteous and aware anytime they needed to move their vehicles for one of us to leave the house for any reason. Good, friendly communication. Good resolution of any miscommunications. I'm not a carpenter or a roofer or an electrician or a plumber, but all of their work is solid. Joel is a quick to come out for a quote and very knowledgeable. And he's also saved us a buck or two when he could. I also loved finding out this time that he sources materials locally from smaller businesses. I already trusted him and his work, and that was just icing on the cake, so to speak. Anyone who's seen it has loved it. We've been approached by a neighbor asking about the work because they watched it go up. My uncle, who worked with Sears for 40+ years in their repairs department is very hard to please, and he practically gushed about the handiwork. Ultimately, Joel has helped us on multiple occasions and hasn't steered us wrong yet."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Hanceville, AL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
