"Went great - had long walkway that slanted wrong direction removed and replaced with new one that will keep water away from foundation. Noke and his crew were easy to work with and kept me informed every step of the way. Good experience"

"We are very pleased with the services provided by Exodus Construction. Sam worked through several iterations of plans and got us exactly the layout we wanted. The construction crew were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Each time a decision needed to be made they showed me options that I could choose from. Sam came by each day to check on and monitor the job. Overall my job took 5 days to complete. The transformation was stunning. We love our new cobble pavers and the colors we chose. Sam and his crew accomplished all of my goals which was to make my driveway more functional, add better drainage, provide me an area to store my trashcans and to beautify the overall appearance of my house. Overall we were very pleased with Exodus and Sam and will definitely use their services again. One recommendation to any home owner undertaking such a project is do your homework. My wife and I went to look at many houses and building showroom and factories to make sure we picked the right colors and the right type of pavers. We spent about 6 to 10 hours of time shopping and looking at pavers and ultimately it paid off because we love our Angelus castle cobble pavers with the color mix we chose."

"It went very well!  They did a few different repairs for us.  Everything’s held up fine since they did the work.  This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others."

"Rock Solid did a fabulous job on this small project. I worked with Aidan, Juan and Drew. They always arrived on time, got right to work, and did an excellent job. I also asked if they could repair some block wall caps on an older block wall in the  yard, and they did a great job at a very small price. It was a pleasure working with them. I had several email exchanges with Aidan asking questions about different options for this job. He was incredibly patient with all my questions and always replied promptly. I highly recommend this company.

"Alan did a great job on the repair. When I described the problem over the phone he gave an estimated price for the work, but when he came by to see it, he saw that the damage was less extensive than I had implied, and he lowered his price. He was able to repair the shelving structure instead of replace it and the drywall repair was simpler. He came out the next day and repaired it, even though he was busy. He was prompt, very pleasant and the price was more than fair. It was a very small job, but he took the time to do it anyway, and the quality of the work was excellent."

"To say the experience with Asi and Real Construction was good is an understatement. They did a phenomenal job. Not only were they on time they actually finished faster than anticipated. They didn't cut corners and they told me everything they were doing as they were making all the changes. They listened to me the whole way through and worked with my budget. They were kind and friendly and didn't try to weasel money out of me.
I feel like they were beyond upfront and if I wanted something and they felt it wouldn't look good or could be above my budget they told me their truthful opinion. I have to say the work they did was impeccable. I am so happy with how my house came out inside and out that there are no words. I feel like my backyard was transformed into an oasis. The inside of my house is so much warmer now and I haven't found a flaw in any of their work.
My overall experience with the workers and this company was outstanding. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.
If you are looking for anything in regards to remodeling or whatever you need in your home, inside, outside, top, bottom, call Real Construction and speak to Asi. He knows what he's doing and he will give you the best price and the most honest input as to what is the best look for your home or business.
From one truly happy customer to any potential customers don't pass on calling them for a quote."

"Goodfellas took care of us when we needed it! We had a pipe burst between floors in our multi-level house this summer, ruining our downstairs kitchen, and effecting some cabinetry in our upstairs kitchen. Once we got that clean-up out of the way and got the insurance claim started, we started shopping around for contractors that could help us out. We had three different estimates, but Goodfellas was the least expensive while still meeting all our needs. Our project manager Danny really set up a plan that would fix the damage, while also giving our upstairs kitchen a much needed facelift. His crew foreman Nir, and his crew—especially Arnold—was very helpful and efficient. It was easy to communicate with Nir via phone and text, and I would say I spoke to Danny via email at least a few times a week. Danny was really helpful in matching our new cabinets to the paint choice I had made for the remaining cabinets. They both made sure we were happy with each step and installment, or they fixed it until we were. We even ran into some insurance trouble midway through, putting a halt on our funds for the project. After explaining the whole nightmare to Danny, he was patient and waited with us until Nationwide could pull it together to help us finish this project. And once the final money was approved, Danny’s crew was quick to finish up the kitchen so that we could return once again to our normal lives. In short, they met our demands easily and did the project quickly and proficiently. Whenever there was a confusion or problem, it was easily communicated and handled. The crews were friendly and respectful of my family and house. Arnold went out of his way to make sure my kitchen upstairs was exactly how I wanted it, even down to giving me choice of threshold trim when he could have just slapped down any ol’ trim and I probably wouldn’t have noticed. And he always had a quick smile for my children. I would recommend this company to anyone needing work done in their home."

"The job they are doing right now is not finished yet. I used them earlier last year for a door. They were pretty much experts in their field. They're experienced and good at what they do. It worked out pretty well. There's been a delay with the front door only because I wanted to find the materials myself. When he initially started to do more work, I didn't want it completed with the same material. I wanted to buy my own. The price was probably average."

"Our entire house was stucco except for the front of our two-car garage which was wood.

We interviewed three contractors and contracted with Ray DeHaven because of his years of experience and their high satisfaction rating on Angie's List.

Ray came out to give us an estimate and spent over an hour with us explaining the pros and cons of several options. For an "as-built" finish, Ray recommended we remove the wood siding down to the bare studs instead of putting stucco on top of the wood as other contractors had recommended.  He also recommended we have Multi-tex stucco system applied to the wood fascia boards around the top of the garage because it would match the look of the stucco.  They started the job on Monday 12/5 and completed it on Friday 12/9.

Due to the wet weather the Multi-tex did not have an opportunity to set-up and ran in a few places.  Ray had his crew out first thing Monday morning to assess the situation and remove the damaged area.  Once the weather cooperated they promptly returned to finish the job and it turned out perfectly.  We were very pleased.

We also asked Ray for an additional proposal on some wood repair that we will report separately.

Ray and his crew are professional, knowledgable, friendly and did a great job of cleaning up the area at the end of each day. We are very happy with the job and would highly recommend their services!

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Harbor City, CA

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
