"It was a superb experience. From the visit by Bruce the sales representative to the installation day to the follow-up from Petro, every single person we interacted with was helpful and professional. When Bruce arrived to do the assessment, we spent time going over the heating needs in the house. After a thorough inspection and measurement of the house, we sat down. He showed me a few options, all of which were going to provide good service. I ordered a unit at the end of that meeting. The installation day was just terrific- the entire work crew that showed up were everything I would hope to find: Upbeat, informative, hard-working, focused. The job was finished before end of day as promised. The heater room is now immaculate, with new piping and a new heater. It was like watching a pit crew at a NASCAR race. Everyone had their tasks, they moved carefully but quickly. The materials were all laid out in order, etc. Just a totally professional approach to their work. The crew boss answered any questions I had. The follow-up for a normal inspection of the furnace chimney was scheduled the day after the installation. I’ve gotten calls to insure we are satisfied with the work. Satisfied barely covers it- I am pleased to write this kind of review. "I lost heat in my home on Friday, this is after I had a local handy-man come on Thursday to bleed my pipes because of water flowing sounds in my base-board, which I also had done last year. I called and waited for the same handy-man to come back on Friday after his regular job and was then I was basically told by the handy-man he probably couldn't do anything further to get it running and recommended I contact a professional. It was now close to 5pm on Friday so I went online and found Select Mechanical Services and filled out the Home Advisor quick on-line question which included how urgent it was and instantly after I did, I received a telephone call from Gary at Select Mechanical and he came on Saturday morning, as I had told Gary I was using electric heaters, so I was okay for Friday night. I don't mean to repeat a previous high rating post, but again he was a great service man, knew his stuff, very friendly and kept me informed of the problems and issues at every stage. I will admit that I had not had my furnace professionally service/cleaned for a couple of years, so Gary had found more than one (1) problem and fixed them all! "I communicated with Joel over the phone since I was away when my heater stopped working. He was polite, responsive and easy to work with. After discussing initial diagnosis of the problem and possible repair options we ended up with replacing the gas furnace. His price was reasonable and he accommodated his schedule to install a new gas furnace during the New Year holiday. This morning I had to call Joel because the furnace was making some sporadic noise and I asked him to check it out for me. Honestly, I was hoping for him to look at it within a few days. He came to the house within 2 hours or so and took his time to find out the cause of the sporadic noise (he said apparently some loose metallic parts touching each other when the variable speed motor shifts to high speed mode making a banging noise). He said he tightened the loose parts to fix the problem. I am impressed with his timely response, professionalism and honesty. I recommend him for similar repairs and installations."
