"Very well. Zach showed up right at the time he said he would and looked very closely at the window where we are experiencing a leak. He looked inside, outside, and upstairs above the window. In the end, he said he would love to sell us a window, but that's not where the leak is coming from. He offered some advice where to look and some things to try, and left a quote for replacement of a window he noticed that probably has lost a seal. Honest, dependable, and very much professional. I will hire them when I need windows replaced."

"I was referred to Jeff at Extreme Exteriors. When I called, Jeff was polite and helpful. When he came out to give me the quote, he was very fair and reasonable. He and his crew showed up on the scheduled date and on time. They always made sure to clean up any mess before they left for the day. I would recommend anyone needing any exterior work done to use Jeff and Extreme Exteriors."

"We are getting estimate now. However, we wanted an estimate on replacement of front door and to cover windows on side of door. We were told 12 weeks until work could begin. And, to cover the two side windows on the side of the front door, we were going to have to buy $1,000 of fiberglass even though we only need a very small amount due to the fact Windows World did not need it; but, we don’t need it either. I would have assumed this company would have extra Fiberglas on hand since they use the material for jobs??? So, the font door is out. We are waiting on an estimate for replacing a window. We were told the back four replacement would be around $800-$1,000; is this reasonable?"

"Pittner Services installed 17 windows in our house. These were complete replacements, frame and all. We had some rot around a window, and we didn't know how extensive the damage might be. We chose Pittner because they seemed to have the expertise to deal with any wall and siding repairs that might be needed. Fortunately, the rot was only in the window frame and not in the wall studs. The team worked very hard in hot weather and finished in one day. They were all very professional. I would definitely recommend them to anyone."

"I had some issues with some windows needing replacement, an exterior door that needed replacement, and repair of the interior and exterior wall of a bathroom. The aluminum windows could no longer be raised so they were replaced with vinyl windows. The wooden front door would at times swell and could not be opened. It was replaced with a metal door. The bathroom wall was repaired and sealed with a waterproof enclosure. The exterior of the wall was repaired. Matching vinyl siding was used to finish the exterior. After contacting A-Z Roofing and Contractors, they inspected the job and presented an estimate on the day it was promised. Within a week, the job was started and completed in the time frame as promised. I am very pleased with the workmanship, price and professionalism. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

"Kevin and his team did an outstanding job repairing some holes in walls and ceiling following some electrical work that was done. Even though this was just a small job, his responsiveness was excellent, and the quality of the work was impressive. Because of the quick-drying material they used, they were able to complete the job in one session, without making return trips. They were also diligent at cleaning up after their work. Based on this experience, I would definitely recommend them for drywall work, as well as other repair or remodeling efforts."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Hartselle, AL

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
