"Hired G&R to fix up my deck, stain it, and paint a shed. The work involved replacing all of the horizontal hand rails, and tightening the floor boards. G&R stained the entire deck by hand (including the lattice work). Gave me a good price and stayed with that price. The deck was 35 years old, but you couldn't tell by looking at it now. My neighbor hired them to do some landscaping work after seeing them work on my property. Willie was easy to work with. Would definitely hired them again."

"I had Barchella Landscaping do quite a bit of work at my home. They ran drainage pipe from all roof downspouts and three basement window wells to a new dry well. A crumbling front stoop was totally refurbished. The wrought iron railing was removed, taken away and cleaned down to bare metal, repainted and reinstalled. Total front landscaping was done. Removal of all existing plantings and lawn and installation of new shrubs and sod. A large pine tree was removed in the backyard and ten new arborvitae were planted along the back property line for privacy screening. And let me say that these were already mature trees that immediately added screening. The back lawn which is where the dry well was located was graded off, seeded and topped with straw. Extensive repair to a heaved sidewalk and crumbling entry apron into driveway. And Barchella did some work that wasn't really in the original contract. Amazing! Five stars is actually not enough for this top notch company. The owner, Frank Barchella, is a genuine true to his word type of guy. He promised a time line for the project and even though we had quite a bit of inclement weather he and his crew got it done on time. I highly recommend Barchella Landscaping and Masonry. I can't see how any other company could be better."

"I hired BTJ Demo last year during my kitchen remodel. In regards to that job the results were outstanding. They finished 2 days earlier than projected and most importantly addressed EVERY minor concern we mentioned prior to the job. This review is specifically for the 2 recent snow storms that rocked my area. The storm was so bad that snow removal companies were not able to clean my property within a reasonable timeframe or the astronomical cost. I reached out to BTJ for recommendations in a last ditch effort. "After much research and conversations with multiple contractors thankfully we ended up hiring AEC. Their communication throughout the preliminary process was superior to all of their competitors. They took the time to listen to our project needs and recommended the best course of action working with our budget. They used top of the line paints and skilled craftsmen on our job. The AEC supervisors were present at all times ensuring that everyone involved was meeting their high standards. At times even addressing minor things that were outside the scope of the job which we really appreciated. Attention to detail was key and they lived up to it. Besides the pristine paint job, we were very thankful for how delicately they handled our furniture and the great condition they left our floors in. "It went very, very well. John and his crew of men came the first day (the heavy rains day) to start the work of relieving the hydro-static pressure, which was the opposite of where I thought the water was coming into the house on rainy days. I thought it was through windows and walls. I came home holding my breath to see that despite minor flooding in parts of Brooklyn and a full day of rain the basement was dry! It was exactly what was needed; waterproofing. They came back after the holidays to complete the work of laying the drain pipes outside and were patient in explaining the work to me and what I would need to do, basically nothing as it is a self-managing system. John was not on site for the second part but his crew was very communicative and it was very easy to be in touch with John about the remaining work. They are very good about laying tarp down to keep floors safe and about clean up.
