He immediately followed up with the part number of the part which had likely failed and a link to Sears PartsDirect to order the part. After our session I removed the wall oven from the kitchen cabinet enclosure, found the suspected part, and confirmed it had indeed failed (as we had discussed during our session. I just ordered the part, and will plan to complete the oven repair when it arrives in a week or so. I'll definitely plan to use this Neli service again when needed."

I started in building maintenance and now I mange residential restoration projects ranging from $500-500,000.\nI love what I do and would love to be more hands on outside of the project management that I do only a daily basis.

"This job was to resolve the ignitors switch from firing constantly after water spilled over on a gas cooktop. I diagnosed the part and provided the cooktop model number and information on the initial call. Overall the company was responsive and finished the job OK. But I had issues with the time it took. I had to wait over a week for the part to come in. The technician said it might be hard to remove the burner tops on my gas cooktop since it was old. He waited until the part I needed came in and then came out only to find that one of the four burners he couldn't unscrew. So he said he would have to cut it out and order that part. So I had to wait another four days. It only took a few minutes to remove all the burner parts. The point is , he should have done that first to verify they would all come off to avoid the extra trip and wait time. Also, it turns out he couldn't remove the old burner unit because the gas tube couldn't be disconnected without cutting. So rather than install a new complete burner he said we could use the old one but it might be loose since one of the two screws could only be used. This turned out that it didn't matter anyway. So I wasn't charged for that part but had to wait another 4 or 5 days to get my cooktop repaired. There should have only been two visits instead of three. I'll admit this was 20-20 hindsight. The other thing I didn't like was a 28% markup on the ignitor harness part that I needed. I talked to the owner and she said that's what they normally charge. This is apparently true for all repair companies (some charge way more markup) and why it might be better to hire a handyman. They also won't install a lower cost part but only one from the manufacturer. So bottom-line is it cost me $302 to install a $92 part and over two weeks. The technician was OK, pleasant and knowledgeable , but I just thought that the cost and time was a lot for what I thought was a fairly simple job. I would like to see some info about contractors for value for money. in these review. I can accept a reasonable markup and reasonable cost for a repair. People's comments here and in things like Angie's list seem to always focus on how polite the people are or how timely and not so much on actual cost of the job."

"A+! THIS IS HOW SERVICE CALLS SHOULD ALL GO! I was given a service window between 9:00 and 11:30 am. To my delight, Eyal, the technician from Aviv Appliances arrived at 9:25. After explaining the problem, he immediately diagnosed the problem of a clogged condensation drain line, showed me where the problem was, what was causing it. He fixed the problem and offered a simple remedy to prevent future occurrences and the need for a service call. Additionally, the dishwasher was leaking during operation, and I was worried that the seal or gasket had gone bad. The technician diagnosed the problem as a dirty spray head and that the way dishes were loaded blocked the spray rotation. He cleaned and reset the part, returned it to its place and showed what to look out for in the future. The technician also offered tips for routine maintenance to optimize performance and cleaning. I have dealt with a variety of technicians in the past, some even replaced parts unnecessarily and charged for the "extra" labor. All I was charged today was the $99 minimum service charge I was quoted over the phone when making the appointment. I will not need service on these appliances any time soon, but his honesty, professionalism and willingness to offer advice left no doubt in my mine who I am going to call next time for any appliance service. "Called a couple of places there $65.00 service call was the lowest everyone else was charging $95.00 ... the total cost was $425 plus tax to replace a bad lower fan. Bottom line they did not go over there estimate and the job got done in a timely matter ... I would highly recommend them!"
