"What a fantastic experience with US Window Renewal. They replaced 15 windows with vinyl Amerimax windows, and 2 windows with Marvin wood windows in my 1915 house.  I got 3 bids for this job and US window Renewal (found through Angie's List) ended up being the lowest by far. They beat one other competitor by ~$1500, significant compared to the total amount!  Mike and his team are fantastic - professional, affordable, and thorough.    Some points: <br /> + During the measure-up and the estimate process, he caught what another competitor missed: that the windows in one bedroom would not meet egress code and would not pass inspection if the new windows were installed at the same size as the original windows. His team reframed them so the center one was wider and the 2 outer ones were narrower, so the center one would meet code. I was worried about changing them since they are front and center on the house, but the windows look great, and like they have always been that way. <br /> + The front door has 2 special side lights with a  lot of detail, so I wanted to keep these as wood windows with divided lites.  When these windows arrived, he noticed that they did not match the dimensioned drawing he had done and had the company re-make the windows. <br /> + For a very reasonable fee they added exterior trim to some windows that were trimless. These windows now match all the others on the house, and they look so much better than they did before! <br /> + Mike is so likable and professional.   Seriously, a good guy. <br />"

"Great! Installation team was courteous, very knowledgeable, and professional. These guys really know their stuff and spoke so highly of their company. We replaced 11 windows, they worked with our HOA and were very happy. Only negative is one of the windows should have been a double slider (XOX) but wasn’t, but no big deal. Salesperson didn’t indicate it on the paperwork and I didn’t catch it. Installer was willing to make it right and order another window. Excellent service."

"All in all, very happy with Gary the sales manager and the installation team, Gary is a great guy! They were quick t to respond and come out for an estimate, we got a total of three estimates. Once we committed to Gary and ordered, the window and door were ready before time promised and the install team was efficient and professional. In retrospect, the window/door quality are good, even above average...but at one time, we were thinking of a very expensive, maybe wood frame, but those prices were triple+ the amount we paid. So in reality, what we received and price paid through this company, we got a great job done and above average quality product. Yes, we would highly recommend and use them again!"

Since I was comparing vendors, I called three or four other glass companies with so-so results and responsiveness. I picked Golden Bay Glass because they were responsive and assured me they could get the job done on-time. Once I called and gave them the go ahead, Chuck called me right away and told the schedule and what day and time the crew would show up. The crew showed up on time, removed the old glass and did a very nice, clean job installing the new glass. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for large glass work. <br />"
