"It did not go as expected. Although the staff is very friendly, professional, and punctual, the actual job did not go well. My toilet was leaking onto the subfloor, so within 15 minutes the plumber determined I needed a new pipe and he would not be able to reinstall my toilet until I fix the subfloor. I fixed the subfloor and called the plumbers back two days later. The office staff that took my call was wonderful and accommodating, and got a plumber out right away to reinstall my toilet. Here’s where the problem is: the first plumber who took the toilet out laid it on its back causing all of the seals in the tank to break. The first plumber also replaced my shut off valve, but placed it about an inch further out of the wall then it previously was. So when the second plumber came to reinstall my toilet, not only could the toilet not be put back up against the wall, but the tank was loose and leaking now and all the seals in the tank had to be replaced. In the end, I paid $700 for this project, which shouldn’t have been more than $350 in my opinion. And since the toilet sticks out so far from the wall the tank is still leaking as it must have been jostled in use. And the base of the toilet no longer lines up with the hole that was cut in the linoleum. It just looks awful and to be honest, I should’ve just had them replace the pipe and left it at that, but the first plumber left the sewer pipe sticking 8 inches up out of the floor and I wasn’t sure how far down to cut it to reinstall the toilet. It was just a mess."

"This was the first time I have used Angie's list, so as soon as I got the installation date I started looking in the handyman listings. I came across Honey Do's Solutions LLC. and read the reviews they were all A, then I saw he was located close by so I called. I told Jason what I needed and when he put me down for the morning after the installation but we changed it to afternoon. Jason arrived at the time he said he would and got right to work. I always think things are easier then they turn out to be and this job was no exception, the faucet was no problem but the new sink was a lot deeper then the old one and the disposal was a lot bigger. Jason made a quick trip to Home Depot got some fittings and pipe made a few adjustments hooked everything up and was done. It looked nice and neat under the sink, he cleaned up the work area checked for leaks everything was good. Jason is professional, friendly and easy to talk to he answers any question I had and his prices are very good. I will be calling him when I need some work done he is very versed in many different types of Jobs. I will give him 5 big THUMBS UP!!!!"

"We worked with a lady there that put everything together and made drawings. It's an almost $60000 job so somebody is getting paid. They sent the estimate within a week. The person that did the estimate was excellent. So far they've done a good job and I can't complain. I would put in a good word for the lady that helped us. Her name was named Heather. She is really good to work with. We were pretty pleased with her. We actually had to go to their office. They've got a lot of stuff in there we look at and then like picking out stone for the counter tops we had to go to the stone place and pick out what we wanted over there. It is a pretty good process. It's not just one visit for one person. Heather was directing everything and she did a really super job. I really have to give her credit."

"Brian came out, on time, to give me a quote on fixing the leaks, one set of 4 windows and one set of 3, both 2 stories above deck. I know water leaks are tricky to trace, so his explanation on that was no surprise. There were a lot of loose ends on the trim from the last time someone replaced bad glass; he said he'd address that. (By the time those ends came loose years ago, the repair work was out of warranty.) He checked the water damage inside, the windows outside, gave me his recommendation, what he would do and how he would do it, and a bid. I had him put me on his schedule, as he was booked out aways. Brian called when my job was getting near the top of his list, which was helpful schedule-wise and also a relief, as I knew the time was near when I would not have to be home every time it rained to keep the water run-in under control. Brian and another guy arrived on time and got right to work. The windows looked fantastic when he was finished!--everything all tight and ship-shape, with new silicon seals all around. They look really good. Brian said to call him if there was any leakage. Where's a big windy rain storm when you need one? :) It was months before I had a storm with rain driving almost perpendicularly into the windows. That's when I knew Brian had stopped all the leaks. If anything other windows leak, I won't hesitate to call Brian."

"Overall, Rebath people are pleasant to work with. Brendan was a top notch craftsman, 'BJ' in office stayed in touch as work progressed. there were some problems with ordering product, receiving wrong product, miscommunication in scheduling, which delayed completion of job beyond our expectations. However job was completed to our satisfaction at last, and quality of product and of work are good.

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Hecker, IL

You can absolutely install an outdoor mixture tap outside your home. An outdoor mixer tap blends hot and cold water before it leaves the spout, giving you a steady temperature for rinsing produce, washing hands, or spraying down patio furniture. As long as a plumber runs both hot and cold supply lines and insulates them against freezing, a mixer outside performs just like the one in your kitchen.

Outdoor faucet handles come in twist, lever, or knob varieties, all designed to stand up to the elements while giving you precise flow control. They’re built from tough materials yet offer the same comfort and ease of use as indoor faucets. Ask your plumber for a selection and for recommendations on the best option for your needs.

Start by pinpointing the leak—often it’s a worn washer, a loose packing nut, or a damaged gasket. If it’s salvageable, replace the faulty part; otherwise, you may need a new faucet. Always turn off the water before starting repairs, and test thoroughly when you’re done to confirm you’ve stopped the leak.

You can protect your outdoor faucets during the winter months by shutting off the water supply to the outdoor faucet before freezing weather arrives and by always disconnecting any attached hoses. You can further safeguard your outdoor faucets against ice by insulating the pipe and installing a basic faucet cover.

An outdoor faucet can last 20 years, though budget models may wear out in 10, and high-end ones can push 30 or more. Proper installation, routine upkeep, and careful use help you get the most life from any spigot. Ask your plumber for maintenance and care recommendations to get the most from your outdoor faucet.

Replacing an outdoor spigot yourself might work if you’re handy, but a professional plumber guarantees code compliance, reduces the risk of water damage, and offers peace of mind. If you’re not sure about soldering or local regulations, it’s best to hire a licensed plumber for a lasting fix that you can feel confident in.
