"In 2 days, this professional and knowledgeable installation team replaced 2 sliding glass doors, one kitchen garden window, a bay window, and 13 other windows in our home. The team of installers worked hard and knew what to do with the special requirements some of my windows required. Great clean up after the job was completed. We are glad that we supported a local Escondido business that gave us great pricing and great customer service. We definitely recommend Coughlin Windows."

"It went very well. Installers helped me prepare space and covered the space with plastic sheeting. They were very careful to leave the space clean, vacuuming up any debris. I appreciated the high quality of craftsmanship they displayed. Two windows were obscured glass in a 1974 orange color. The others were single pane regular windows. I wanted to get a clear view and illuminate a lot of the noise with the double pane windows."

"Our first contact person was Dwayne Dalichau. He answered all questions with patience and great knowledge. We feel that we made the right decision in choosing our windows based on his guidance. We chose the PROmax8 windows by Amerimax and replaced five windows and two sliding doors. Since we own a townhouse we had to follow the HOA rules in regards to style and appearance. With Dwayne's assistance we had no issue in getting the approval by the HOA. Scheduling the day to replace the windows was easy as well. The workers were punctual, courteous and hard working. Every single extra work I asked for (changing the screens on windows that didn't get replaced etc.) was done without any hesitation. As scheduled the job was done in a day. The windows are reducing the noise and blocking the outside temperature substantially. They also look fantastic from the inside because of the framing. We are very pleased with the result and the service since then has been great. After a few days a ran into the sliding door and ripped the screen. Progressive came by and changed the screen without any charge. I also would like to mention that I had a very specific issue around the sales tax, so specific, that the owner of Progressive took his time to call me to discuss. This is a great company with a fantastic customer service."

"When we moved in to our new home, two of our windows didn?t work properly. <br /> A simple repair, right? But everyone we called was unwilling to do anything less than replace every window in our entire house. Until we came to Window Restoration and Repair. <br /> They made time for us, and they did an excellent job at a very fair price. I?m <br /> very happy to recommend them.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Highland, CA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
