"To replace a roof on your home can be an overwhelming event. But the professionals at Total Home Roofing bring unparalleled experience to the job that clears the fog of uncertainty about replacing your roof. During our first visit from Travis, he walked us through what to expect with replacing our roof. He was available for follow-up questions and was always honest and clear about the process. After the job was complete, he even called back to make sure we were satisfied, and everything was as we discussed. Then came the actual replacement of the roof! The Supervisor of our project was Eduardo, who was just as amazing as Travis. He was constantly communicating about what was happening and what to expect during the process. He let us know that if we had any questions or concerns, to contact him, and he would resolve or clarify so we were fully informed. Anytime I called Eduardo, he answered the phone and was available. Then if that wasn’t enough, I received daily updates from the main office of what was going on the day before and what to expect that day. Total Home Roofing made this daunting process less stressful. They went out of their way to communicate and walk with us through this event. Thank you, Total Home Roofing, Travis, and Eduardo!"

"Very well. The project was completed by Christmas eve. It is home to a garden theme statue and adds a lot of drama to the yard.
There are six layers of brick with the concrete tiles as a border. Flawless. My regret is that this is the last project as i have no more room  in my yard."

"Can't say enough good things about this company. They did a wonderful job removing our old cracked concrete driveway/path and replacing with be a beautiful paver driveway. They were patient as we chose our color/plans, gave helpful advice on the new paver choices, and did an outstanding job re-leveling our driveway and installing a drain system/sod as well. I would hire them again in a second. Thanks for the wonderful job guys!!"

"The repair went well, the company was responsive and delivered a good result.  The owner Chad is an experienced professional as were the other two workers on the job.  They scheduled the job within a couple of days after responding to my phone call which they answered on the weekend.  They got here and did a great job bringing my sidewalk up to the standards of the community hoa.  The price was very fair for the job.
I also discussed other jobs that I need done, driveway and some masonry repair on the home.  Chad offered some great solutions and has good ideas.  I would definitely recommend Creteworx for other jobs and I plan to use them when I'm ready to do those jobs.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"A large tree fell on my house while I was out of town crushing my chimney and then subsequently the chimney pieces placing large holes in my roof.  I had a "friend of a friend" who was a contractor who came and rebuilt my chimney and flue. My home is old and built in 1926, so some of the mortar of the brick porch had begun to erode away. The first contractor also repaired this for  me as well.  The work that was done was horrific. The patching to the mortar on the porch was so terrible it could be seen  from down the street. The color didn't match, it was sloppy. I wish there was a place to upload the before and after pictures. A neighbor of mine recommend James Allen and said he was an excellent mason and has an extensive amount of work in our historic neighborhood Riverside/Avondale in Jacksonville Florida.Which is known for it's southern charm and variety of historic housing styles from bungalows, to dutch colonial revival, to arts & crafts style homes. James promptly arrived and was also shocked at the amount of poor work that had been done and attempted to be passed onto me as appropriate. James worked long hours to complete the job, and if he was ever going to be late or had some other emergency he needed to take care of he always called to let me know. I would say that James went above and beyond in the work he does. He isn't just a professional, but  someone who truly loves the work the does, and gains satisfaction from seeing the completion a job well done. James did a most of the job while I was at work, and I know working outside in this brutal Florida summer heat can be unbearable. I think I had about 5 neighbors call to tell me that they couldn't believe how hard "That Mason Guy" was working, and that he just didn't ever seem to take a break. After the work was done, James had reconstructed the top of my chimney into an arch shape that matches the gables on my 1926 Dutch Colonial Revival home. He also spent days grinding out the bad mortar repair job, and replacing it with a custom color mortar to match the 80+ year old existing mortar. Not only is my chimney beautiful and I get complements on it all the time, but the work on the porch is seamless. It is practically indistinguishable to tell the old from the new, and he was able to replace a few bricks that were too damaged with some of the same historic bricks he happened to have a stash of.  James Allen definitely went above and beyond what was needed and expected, but this is a part of who he is, a hard worker, and a someone who takes great pride in the craftsmanship of masonry. I had some leveling work done to my back yard, and some of my brick pavers were damaged, James came by to take a look and give me an estimate in case the yard people didn't show up to repair it (which was looking pretty likely).  James came by and gave me an estimate, and I told him I will keep him posted, well the yard people came and repaired it and did a decent job. I referred this information to James, and he just stopped by one day on his way home from work just to make sure it was done right. Since James Allen had reconstructed the top of my chimney and repaired my porch, and after my neighbors saw the work he had done, He has worked on 4 other chimney's on my street alone! Jobs from reconstruction, to removing old brick that was placed over a beautiful original coquina chimney. James' work is true craftsmanship. A great asset to our community, and leads his life professional and personal with much integrity."

"Boucon USA did an excellent job for our pool patio replacement. James the owner was very knowledgeable and professional about the work and talked us through each step. The crew doing the work was very polite and kept the work area clean and tidy throughout the process. I would highly recommend Boucon USA for any concrete needs you may have."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Hilliard, FL

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
