"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. "Seems unorganized. It took too long to get them to do the job. We had to keep reminding the owner what job and what location we were working with in order to get an estimate. He only provided 2 samples and in order to see other samples, we had to drive several miles to the supplier's location instead of him providing them. We made the down payment on July 27 through Angie's list and work was started on Oct 21. Communication required that we reach out to them instead of them reaching out to the customer. I don't think the owner goes to the job site much, maybe this job was too small for him and he was relying on his workers to do it right, but we had to tell the workers that weed film was supposed to be installed underneath the deck. The actual work, when finally completed is good and he modified our overall cost."

"We wanted to purchase the big deal for a handyman for a day and called to see if our list of chores could be done in that amount of time.  We made an appointment for Scott to meet us at the house for a walk-through.  After looking at everything we wanted and taking thorough notes, Scott decided it would take two workers a day to accomplish everything.   Scott and his two workers, Klay and Brad, arrived on schedule on the day agreed upon and Scott left after making sure the guys knew the work to be performed.  The guys worked quickly and efficiently.  When we were missing a crucial screws for replacing two ceiling light fixtures, Klay and Brad were flexible enough to switch to replacing three electrical sockets instead.  Klay even offered to pick up the screws and return the next day to complete the job.  We can't say enough good things about GCR Builders and we look forward to calling on them for our next handyman or remodeling job.

"Oscar is the most reliable contractor I've met which is something that I value since I have to work from home the days I need work done at the house. He's friendly, trustable and detail oriented which I appreciate. We had a closet door painted and at the end of the day when he realized there were a couple of places that needed touchups he came back another day to finish the job after the paint dried. His prices are reasonable. We had to completely redo our shower and it turned out fantastic. He goes above and beyond to make sure that the work is done to your satisfaction."
