"The sink had very thick and longtime build-up that was mostly clogging a big section of pipe and not able to be opened with a "snake". Several feet of pipe had to be removed and replaced. Once the occluded piece was removed, Kyle showed me the ends of the pipe after it was removed and why just trying to shift the caked in debris wouldn't work in this case. I appreciated him showing me (including some photos, as I have a crawl space) along with explaining so I had a better understanding. He was considerate in explanations of the work, wearing a mask, punctuality and in cleaning up after."

"Jason is the perfect plumber. He's so reasonably priced and does such exceptional work. I've utilized his services four times since I moved to Missouri and each time his impresses me more than the previous. I strongly encourage you to give Jason a try---once you have him do work for you, you'll never have to search for a plumber again. You'll have his number in your contacts list....and it will bring you a great peace of mind."

"The installation went pretty much as anticipated. When Mr. Lesan began the removal process for the old faucet he discovered that the original installer had used connectors that were fairly cheap (not brass). He had to make some minor modifications to the pipe stems that would support the new faucet before proceeding further. He also had to ream out the holes in the basin to accomodate the slightly wider inlet spacing on the new unit. Everything was clear sailing after that and the new unit performs as expected."

"Randy did an excellent job.  He is very efficient,  knowledgeable (he is a Master Plumber) and friendly.  He had a  fair <br /> price for the time he spent.  We asked him several plumbing questions unrelated to the work that he did and he was really helpful in answering them. We would very much recommend Randy Farris Plumbing. <br />"

"They're expensive as hell. I got to find some other people to do the plumbing.  They are ridiculous.  They charged us $250 just put in the disposal.  We furnished it.  I about died on that one.  Then because they ran a snake down the pipes, they charged us another $300.  They are not coming back.  The work they did was good but if I had been here and known the price, they would not have started the job.  I don't plan on using them in the future."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Holden, MO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
