"Upon inspection, we were shown, via computer, the conditions currently existing and the manner in which AFS would proceed to correct the situation. The decision was made to proceed, a contract signed electronically and a deposit was requested and submitted. The inspector indicated he was having electronic difficulties; was unable to print a copy of the contract, but would submit it as soon as possible. This required several phone calls and a threat to cancel before a copy of the contract was received by email. When the crew arrived the foreman handed us a statement for the full amount of the contract. There was nothing indicated for the deposited amount. That required additional contacts by the foreman to correct the situation. (This was an extremely "shocking" development considering the previous circumstances regarding the paperwork!) The crew did what they could in replacing a pillar under the house but could not bring the floor back to level. They were afraid to use hydraulic jacks unless I would take responsibility for damage. They lifted the foundation approx. 3/4" on the southwest corner of the house bringing it back to level. The work done by the crew was totally acceptable and the foreman did a very good job when explaining exactly what was occurring. As requested by the foreman prior to their departure, , a check was submitted for the balance remaining."

Little pricey, but compared of the ripping out old and replacing, taking weeks to complete the project around the pool and probably mess up the liner of the pool with concrete getting in. This project took half a day and at the end you couldn’t notice that anyone had been there Except the concrete look great and level and all cracks filled in."

"I called about a small wet area in a corner of a finished basement. They walked in with the preconceived idea that I needed a basement drainage system and sump pump. There was a drainage pipe, plainly visible, in the wet area. I ask if the problem could be from the pipe but was repeatedly told the water was coming from between the foundation and the concrete block. Never was any other possibility considered. "Overall the experience was fine.  I enjoyed working with him and would do it again.  They did good work.  He speaks english but many of those who work with him may not.  I liked the work he did and he solved a couple of minor other problems while he was there.  I am looking to have him back to do other work as well.  The most expensive part of this trip was the basement blocks having to be done.  Overall he worked with me on price and we agreed.  My only complaint was that it took longer than they initially stated, but on the upside, the totally cleaned up everything.  If I found a problem, I just shared it with them and they fixed.  Overall very pleasant experience. <br />"

"Elliot and his crew showed up as scheduled. They had some difficulties with the old slab being so porous, but worked through the day to get it right. The color came out great, but the gloss layer did not last. After discussing this with Elliot, he stated it was most likely due to the very old and porous slab. Elliot and his crew came back to the house, re sanded the floor and put a thin top layer on the slab. He stained and sealed the floor with a high gloss finish. He did all this at no cost to me and the final product came out great."
