Unlike previous contractors who find the shortest and easiest way to finish the project without regards to the long term consequences of future maintenance, Matt’s focus is in the long-term efficiency of any installation or project for our satisfaction and enjoyment of the product installed. This is the second time I had him work on a home project and found him being very consistent in his attention to details. The plumbing and electrical project we had was very tricky and complicated since our townhome is more than 50 years old. With many “patchwork” repairs done by previous owners/contractors, adding new wiring was not as straightforward. Yet, Matt and his team were able to save us the cost of adding a subpanel box after they took the time to assess all the existing wiring. Matt not only works to understand the purpose of the job requested but also takes into account the visual aesthetics involved in the project. He has outstanding expertise in planning and preparing for the project such that there is excellence in the completion of the project. He takes the time to evaluate and understand the current condition of the house and explains the process in detail to get to the end-result that is expected upon completion. He was very judicious in informing me of any issues during the project and was well prepared to provide viable options that make the end-result better. I also appreciate his high respect for the homeowner’s property which he makes sure is also practiced by the workers he send to do the job all throughout the process and not just during the time of quote or price negotiation or just at the start of the project when the homeowner is around. "We had a fantastic experience working with Adrian Amezquita with Maz Contractor Services. We obtained multiple quotes for the work but they were competitive and could handle the variety of work we were looking to do. They did a complete bathroom model on both our master (new shower glass, granite counter, and a new coating of epoxy on the tub which made it look brand new) and guest (complete demo of tub/shower replaced by walk-in with ceramic tile, glass doors, and sea glass accents, new quartz countertop) bathrooms, Adrian helped with design advice and we couldn't be happier with the end product. Adrian's crew also performed interior paint in both our kitchen and master bedroom (in addition to painting both bathrooms), but probably the most impressive piece of work is the transition of a lattice door overhang in the back, they framed it in solid, shingled it, and you can't even tell it wasn't original with the house. Throughout the whole process, Adrian kept in constant communication. He would text us to let us know who was coming when and what work was expected to take place. The entire job only took about two weeks. Overall, we were very pleased and would absolutely use them again and highly recommend! Grand total at the end of the job $15,800."

"My wife and I talked about a shower remodel for years. Cost was a concern as was if we would be happy with the end product. After speaking with several contractors we decided on HT&A based on Angies List. Towards the end of the build, we had severe issues with grout and a beautiful new shower. Issue was with the product and not the work. I was worried that the company would simply walk away or say we did our best, but thankfully that was not the case. They returned multiple times until we finally achieved the results we were looking for. Commitment was exceptional and we really appreciate the company and their contractors for following through to the end. Could not ask for anything more."

"Hiring Jim Johnson / Texas Select Builders to remodel our kitchen was the best decision we could have made. Our remodel involved moving walls and columns, reconstructing counters, replacing countertops, sink and lighting, painting cabinets and installing tile. The project was completed on time and within budget without any surprises. What I loved was Jim’s ability to provide GREAT design advice and plenty of examples to help us fine tune our choices. He’s up front on honest and proved to be a phenomenal problem solver. His crew was friendly and courteous and his job foreman was wonderful as well. Jim was there for much of the process and was very communicative which made us feel very comfortable. We are so incredibly happy with end result! He turned our out-dated taupe, claustrophobic kitchen into the open, new and modern grey & white kitchen of our dreams. Saving like mad now so we can hire him to do the same for our master bath. They may not be the cheapest quote you’ll get but you’ll have your project completed to your satisfaction, on time and without any expensive surprises. I highly recommend Texas Select and will hire them again for our next project."

"Brandon was very professional and helped us decide how to create what we needed while keeping a natural flow to the house and staying within code on access dimensions etc. He has been very responsive to any email and phone queries and was punctual. There were no cost ovberruns except for additional items that we asked him to do and the price for those was very reasonable. (We had just bought the house, so as we got more familiar with the house we found several small repairs that needed to be done ) <br /> The subs that came in were all very professional and courteous and made sure the work area was cleaned up every day. The work has been completed to a high standard. <br /> We have been very happy with Brandon's work and would use him again. <br />"
