"Heath and his crew carefully excavated around the area of the suspected blockage or break and found that the original drain line had not been properly connected when it was originally installed and had caused the four-inch plastic drain line to become clogged with mud and stop working. Heath connected the four-inch drain line as it should have been connected when it was originally installed. He connected the drain line from the house and the existing clean-out pipe to the existing drain line with a 45 degree elbow.
Before I called Eand B Wooley, I had started to install a collection sump box where the four-inch line connects to the six-inch farmer's tile drain line. Heath connected the lower end of the green four-inch PVC drain line to the six-inch farmer's tile drain line and my collection sump box with another 45 degree elbow to complete the installation. He tested the connection and the water flow to make certain the line was draining properly before filling in the area he had excavated. After confirming that the drain lines were working, he carefully filled in the areas of excavation and leveled the ground to make certain damage to the surrounding grass was minimized.
I was completely impressed by the professional work Heath and his crew accomplished to isolate, identify and correct the problem of the original installation. Heath's services were very cost-effective. While the results of the new installation haven't been tested by a heavy rain and high ground water, I'm confident the system will work better than originally installed.
I highly recommend Eand B Wooley for anyone's excavation and drain line problem-solving and repair.

"This is the 2nd time I have used Safe Electric and both times I have used them have been great experiences. I had 3 new fixtures installed plus a new circuit run to be used for a new freezer in our finished basement. Jon & Eric were the two electricians that were sent to my home. They worked efficiently and quickly, but did outstanding work. Even though our basement had a finished ceiling, they were able to run a wire through with minimal disruption to the finished ceiling. I had concerns about the alignment of the lights on the fixture (this was a manufacturing defect and nothing to do with their installation) and they obliged me by improving the light alignment. They also cleaned up after they were completed and disposed of the old light fixtures and packaging materials for the new fixtures. Their work was excellent. The only negative aspect was the price which seemed very high to me. The cost for installation of the 3 light fixtures was $462 and the new circuit was $903."

"Tommy came on a Monday to install a replacement part in my 20-year-old Moen faucet. The company had sent me the repair kit, free. Tommy was not able to make the repair. I agreed to buy another faucet at Home Depot, and he would come back on Thursday to install it. On Thursday, he found that one of the parts of the new faucet was defective. Tommy said he would try to get a part to replace the defective one and complete the installation. I could use the faucet, but it was not securely attached to the sink. The following Monday, he brought a replacement part, but it was the wrong one. Finally, on Friday he brought a part that fit, and finished the installation. It seems as though the process was more problem-filled than one would expect, but Tommy followed up and completed the project to my satisfaction. He did not charge me for more than one trip to my house, even though he made four trips. The cost was $99 for the installation and $33 for parts"

"THEY WERE THERE VERY SHORTLY AFTER I CALLED FOR SERVICE. THEY NARROWED DOWN THE LOCATION OF THE LEAK AS BEING UNDER THE CONCRETE FLOOR IN A LARGE DETACHED GARAGE AWAY FROM THE HOUSE WHICH ARE BOTH ON THE SAME METER. THEY ADVISED ME TO CALL LEAK DETECTOR IN COLUMBUS TO ZERO IN ON THE PRECISE LOCATION AND TO CALL THEM BACK AFTER THAT IS DOWN SO THEY CAN DO THE REPAIR"

"I received 4 estimates, Eco Plumbers $2,900, Mr. Rooter $2,375 - $100 for tank removal, ARS $2,345, and The Rooter Works $2,100 ? All were exorbitant. My Project: I converted from a gas water heater to an electric system, an I already had a electric outlet installed near tank. The Rooter Works ran wire from outlet to tank approx 3ft, cut/capped gas line, cut copper tubing, attached clamps and valves to water lines, installed A.O Smith 50gal heater. The salesman for The Rooter Works was courteous, but not really helpful (of course he was focused on the sale,) and did not send my email estimate until late the next day. He outlined a work order and projected it was a 2 hr job, the technician was prompt, arrived 30mins. early, he was polite and courteous, seemed to assessed the project, but made 4 supply runs, picked up and then replaced a damaged water tank, picked up and then replaced a leaky water valve, clamps, and couplings, etc. ? and was there from 8:35 am to after 4pm, he was not messy, but stayed to clean up. I learned a lot, next time, I will negotiate price with the company or buy my mechanics/appliance from supplier and negotiate the price with a private contractor. Thank you Angis list/Home Advisor for helpful Info? I tried to avoid being over priced, to no avail. Next time I will know better!"

"On all of the replacements or repairs there was a time period of 1 -3 weeks for the repairman. They were all professional . You have to read the contract , I missed the electric part and had to pay for it myself so read your warranty ."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Howard, OH

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
