After spending over ten years remodeling and helping friends and family with their home-improvement needs, it was time to make a profession out of what I love doing rather than fitting those projects into my spare time. Thus, in 2015, Custom Home Medic was founded. Initially, the company functioned more like a small-town handyman, but today it is much more than that. Our design department offers full professional design services, as well as cutting edge 3D modeling and virtual tours. Our specialized staff can provide both interior and exterior design, product and color selection along with overall consultation to guide you toward the decisions that will create the unique look and feel that you desire to create in your home.

"We needed our home updated in preparation to sell after having the same renters in it for 13 years. (Not a great situation for upkeep.) Before deciding on Custom Home Medic, we received one other estimate from a contractor recommended by our realtor which was the same cost but did not include any upgrades, only repairs. It was very general whereas Custom Home Medic was very specific & transparent in itemizing costs. We replaced bathroom flooring (4 baths), replaced kitchen countertop (tile) with granite, & added a backsplash. All interior doors and hardware were changed as well as upgraded light fixtures, MB windows replaced, new basement carpeting, paint throughout including baseboards & many misc repairs. We were well-informed about the progress and about minor cost adjustments which were all made within budget. All work was completed within the time frame expected and our house sold the first day on the market for more than our asking price. Even our realtor was extremely impressed with the end result and transformation of our home, having been our realtor when we first purchased it. I highly recommend Custom Home Medic."

"While my wife and I are satisfied with the final cosmetic appearance of the shower, the overall execution fell short of the professional standard we expected. The project started late, forcing me to use an extra day of vacation time. The quote of $559 for supplies explicitly listed "Hardie Backer Board" and "flashing tape." The team installed drywall and did not use the tape. They also used the caulk/adhesive I provided, despite those items being included in the materials charge. The subsequent $100 deduction was insufficient. The completed shower pan creaked loudly. The fix?drilling holes and injecting foam?resolved the noise but left the pan slightly unlevel. Debris was often left on the premises overnight (e.g., the old tub in the front yard; trash pile in the driveway). The shelf that should have been installed was in the pile. Crew members were hardworking, however, issues regarding communication, billing transparency, and quality control impacted the experience."
