"My husband and I had the pleasure of hiring Anthony and his team to complete my unfinished basement, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. After interviewing several contractors, we decided to hire Anthony and his team, and it was the best decision we could have made. From start to finish, they demonstrated the highest level of integrity and an unparalleled commitment to quality. They showed up every single day without fail and often worked late into the night to ensure that every detail was perfect. Their tireless work ethic and dedication to getting the job done right was truly impressive. Whatever needed to be done, they took care of it efficiently and professionally. The result is a beautifully finished basement that exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a contractor who is reliable, hardworking, and committed to excellence, look no further."

"Over a year and they never finished the job. Cost me thousands. They faced evection from their shop for non payment. Stay away. When they go bad. They go bad! Cisco is not reliable. I heard they are trying to start up with a different name. "

"We hired Randall after checking reviews on Angie's List, Nextdoor and checking the BBB. There was nothing but praise for the work he had done for people. We came to an agreement on price and the work started fine. After a short time he started showing up less and less and the project drug out. We kept giving draws every time he asked for money until most of the work was paid for, though not complete. On July 27th Randall asked for another $1000, thank goodness it took a little while for my wife to get a break so she could write a check, when she took it down to him all of his tools, etc., were gone. He left the job unfinished (about 75% complete) and when we gave him notice of abandonment he replied by email to sue him but we wouldn't get much from a defunct company with no assets. The stucco was not finished, the door that was installed was not sealed around frame (open to the elements), electrical unfinished, water faucet not installed, screen pool cage frame and screen not replaced, holes in wall not repaired, balcony rail not complete, balusters not compliant or grouted, gutter not reattached, lights in pantry and under balcony not installed, trim around kitchen window not installed, French door hanging loose, hinge screws not tightened, and none of the painting has been completed. Then there is the damage to other items from not protecting them while work was performed such as stucco globs all over the poos deck, the pool deck drain is blocked by stucco and or concrete, pavers brick missing (don't know where that went, it was there when work started), stucco and grout left in the yard what was St. Augustine. I am sure there are things I missed, but this shows Mr. Anderson is not of the same character as he was at some point in the past."

"All-In Construction has been a wonderful company to work with. In planning to move into our house in Winter Park, FL, we decided to undertake major renovations. These included a total kitchen remodel, all new floors, new trim, ceiling updates, paint throughout the house, floor plan leveling, new doors, new lighting, and more. A huge project that seemed more daunting as we had to contract for the work from our home in Tallahassee. We researched several contractors and decided on All-In. We were not disappointed by a long shot and the experience has been amazingly smooth and painless. Kenny, the owner, and Mike, the project manager were accessible, honest, professional, and efficient. Most of all though, it was clear that they cared for us as customers and truly wanted us to have the best experience possible. This is further shown in their frequent photo updates of the work in progress so we could see exactly how things were going, even from 250 miles away. Also, their experts who came in to do the work were incredible. We met several and all to a person were knowledgeable, friendly, and highly skilled. True expert craftsmen! Finally, the administrative interface through the Builder Trend app made payments smooth and seamless. Special thanks to Penny in the front office for getting everything set up for us. Finally, if you want the job done right and you want peace of mind, hire All-In Construction for any of your renovation needs, no matter how complicated. All-In will take great care of you and you’ll enjoy the results of their work for a lifetime"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Intercession City, FL

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
