"After dealing with one other windows company delivering an aggressive sales push apparently characteristic for this industry, it was a pleasure to interact with Matt Rotondi, the owner. He provided all the information necessary, in addition the helpful online information, before making the sale, and there was no pressure for the more expensive models. He continued to be highly responsive and courteous even after we signed on the dotted line. The installation of 26 windows was done by a contracted team on the days it was scheduled to be done, and everything went well. The windows look very nice and provide the improved insulation we were hoping for. Obviously only time will tell how they hold up in the future, but I have full confidence that Matt will honor the warranty that should cover any potential issues. After the installation, one of the windows was hard to open and another one had a very small dent, probably from the delivery, but he fixed both issues without discussion. I recommend Zen Windows without any hesitation."

"AAA Rated Company!! They showed up on time and schedule, were extremely qualified and did excellent work. The install went perfectly, the 2 men that showed up were "craftsman". They vacuumed up the inside, picked up every little piece of scrap left over, carted away my old windows and overall displayed a high level of professionalism.. Would definitely hire them again. "Everyone there was excellent and very responsive. Great pricing. The installers arrived right on time and did a very thorough and professional job. Good clean up and good communication throughout the install (I was home for it). Insulation was sprayed on underside of roof from knee wall to ridge, knee walls, gable walls, and under the floor (from the 1st floor). Where desired, the foam was trimmed flush with strapping. Room is airtight now and maintains temp very well. <br />"

"I was nervous about finding the right company to install vinyl siding on my home but I couldn't put it off any longer. I checked Yelp, Angie's list and Home Advisor and settled on 3 companies. The prices were comparable but Cechinel Siding and Windows provided exactly what I needed to calm my fears. When I called to get an estimate I spoke with Cecilia and that was the beginning of what turned out to be a great experience. She was thorough and friendly. She sent Bruno out to assess the job and within 24 hours I had a detailed contract to look over that touched on all the things that were important; a reasonable price, start date, clean up, number of workers present at all times, etc.. I went with CS+W and they kept their promises! 2 to 3 workers showed up on time every day and they worked hard right through the day. I also added 2 jobs while they were here. I had them replace 2 windows, remove and replace PVC porch and stair railings and replace a small roof. The extra work was no problem for them and they still finished within the time frame they had originally promised! Bruno and his workers were respectful to me, my property and my neighbors. I love the work they did and my home looks brand new! I definitely recommend CS+W!"

"Danny and his partner installed all 8 windows in 3-1/2 hours. They where both very professional and courteous. Left all areas inside and out very clean. Very, very impressed with there professionalism and courtesy. Danny and I found a small scratch on 1 window between the 2 panes. Danny is ordering a new upper window and assured me it will be replaced in about 3 weeks. When Danny returns I will also show him I am having a problem latching one of the bedroom windows. I am sure Danny will be able to fix or replace the problem. I’d like to thank Shannon for this email from your service and warranty department. Overall very, very satisfied with the service and install by Windows Nation??"

"Overall we were extremely happy with the result. They went above and beyond in all aspects. We worked with John in ordering the windows, and he went through all the details numerous times to ensure we got what we wanted. He even met us at the showroom on a Saturday to fit with our schedule. The windows turned out great- and for a fraction of the price another company quoted in the Boston area. Highly recommend United Better Homes and hope to use them again for a roof or new doors."

"Tom and his crew were great! We have a small ranch, and it had been probably 35 years since the kitchen was remodeled. We wanted to have a load-bearing wall removed between the living room and the kitchen, in order to open up the space. The kitchen was gutted to the studs and subfloor. We needed a beam installed to replace the wall. We had the old windows removed and new windows installed. We stayed in the house without a working kitchen or living room while the job was done. Tom and his crew made what could have been a very stressful situation pretty painless. All the people who worked in the house were professional, courteous, careful, and cleaned up after themselves. They took the time to make sure things were done right. Tom was great about keeping us informed about the process - who would be coming each day and what they would be doing. If no one was going to at the house, he let us know why. He recommended quality sources for the kitchen cabinets and for the quartz countertop. He had a flooring guy who was able to match the existing wood floor in the living room so we could run the same floor in the kitchen and down the hallway. That saved us about $4000 from the cost of installing all new wood floors. All in all, we are thrilled with our new kitchen, pennisula and the openness of the area now. We want to have our bathroom renovated and as soon as we have the money, I'm calling Tom to come out and take care of that for us."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Ipswich, MA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
